You are looking at a grand for a simtek or finding a secondhand apexi powerfc

The main issue is the turbo.

Rather than ebc try connecting the actuator to compressor cover with one piece of hose.
I just wouldnt recommend driving it hard until it had been checked at least.

hi tom unfortunatelynot the e3 ecu ae800 is from a 99 v5 not v4, it is mappable via ecutek but not for yours im afraid
as post 33 price suggested is £1000 for a simtek or bit less if you can find a 3 block apexi power fc,maybe also a power commander handset and also i think a boost controller, expect to pay £400 for the ecu and handset alone
jgm will know as i dont know anything at all about mapping, but i think you may also need a 3 port boost solenoid????? that is if you dont already have one fitted by someone else previously.

hi there what would this achieve and how does it work? I had a supra big t71 single turbo and built it from scratch, so I am not a total novice to turbo and how the system works, just need reminding sometime what some setups do

the turbo will only produce actuator pressure.. as soon as it starts making boost it will push on the actuator and once pressure is greater than the spring pressure then the wastegate will open.
About 0.7bar

yes

boost control.. the ecu cans bleed air away from actuator to try and increase the boost as it is expecting standard turbo etc..

nice one this might just stop the horrifying fuel cut situation until i can find a more suitable ecu, I wont be driving this car hard any way but didn't want to over boost by accident either... this is the only reason i was looking for a temporary fix.... I hate bodging stuff up but if it saves the engine i am willing to do it for a couple of weeks

I would like to thank you Simon for all your help i am but extremely grateful hopefully I will be bringing it to you for mapping shortly

p.s will the car run ok with the straight bit of pipe in there?? not lumpy etc

one more thing to consider/ask about, would a sp prodrive ecu be mappable via ecutek and would it run a modified map on a v4.... any ideas???

There is no mappable standard ecu that will run it.

Connecting act to comp will not make it lumpy
