Bmth Meet May 8th or 15th.......
That'll have been me (MY99 by the way) behind you - although I wasn't behind you for long
! It was just as well those roadworks were there or else I would have carried on accelerating and changed into 5th
No rush for the wheels.

sorry to play devil's advocate, but how can a lightened flywheel with a lower moment of inertia help keep the engine spining? if anything the engine should be more reluctant to stay spinning, and vice versa; more inclined to spin up under accleration.

Gary , ****ed if i know mate but thats what it did and this it what it does now!
The revs seem to 'hang' for a bit before dropping off so when the clutch is disengaged you still have bags of rpm, it never did that before and the only change is the flywheel weight (i'm putting 2 and 2 together) so that to me can be the only cause.
Well either that or my speed of gearchange has become god like
Please if you can explain it technically do so cos my head is starting to hurt on this one!!
Edited to say to HK - don't think you would have seen me last night cos i didn't go far, it's and RB5 Wr (with driving light covers on!!) as you ask
