Completely agree. Pinned block is an option done loads before with good results at higher power levels, but personally if I were doing a big power 2.5 I'd want the closed deck inserts to make it a fully closed deck block.

Thanks On-the-bog and Brownpantsracing. I already have forged internals and running a vf35. I may have to go for a 3 inch exhaust (with sports cat) and an 18g turbo. Hopefully, that will see me with 380 ish bhp and I can save £2k fitting a 6 speed box.

You will get hungry ha ha, like I did then went cdb to achieve my numbers, now considering a gt35 with syvecs when I can finally get hold of one
