if the policeman was undercover and the bloke was as paranoid as they say what with his brother(?) being stabbed then i can kinda understand him jumping for his gun
but if its got to the point where people need to carry guns around there then something has failed..
and those people looting urgh, hopefully with all the footage on them they will all get caught eventually
they are even standing about checkin they have nicked the right size o.0

People looting today (in broad daylight): http://uk.news.yahoo.com/video/skyuk...-26213160.html
These people should immediately be arrested. No excuse for it.

dave because you don't know so I will excuse you. do me favour I would never do this but today is an exception ring tottenham police station when things settles down and ask them why has the ash and crack cafe still open on west green road n15???? I won't say the number they know it everyone knows about it. it has been open for more than 17 years ask them if you don't want to believe me!!!! Nd that's a fact not media gemic. google there telephone number there's a lot of things that the police in tottenham know about but they turn blind eye they would rather stop someone on mobile phone and give him a ticket and points. it willtake you a few minutes so do it and let us know about your findings.
Are you suggesting last nights rioters would welcome some heavy handed local policing and the crack house gangstas would accept the fact they had been busted like men?
Whats the word on da street about how the police officer received a bullet in his radio and another was discharged at him? We've heard the police and media side, let's here it from da street.
As someone has already asked, what do the community actually want? If police were to raid the crack house, would you be one of the upstanding members of the community to provide a written statement to allow the police to take evidence to a court and apply for a closure order? All you need to do is pop down there and put your money where your mouth is. Just to help you get there, the address is 398 High Road, N179JA. Give it a bit more time than normal to get there, there's a limited bus service and some road closures. Don't wear a hoody either

Very kind of you! But if it's so blatantly illegal why the h3ll don't the locals close it down? Are they actually doing anything? How about writing to their MP to complain about lack of police action? How about approaching the local/national papers/radio/TV about the lack of police action? How about a website/facebook/wherever campaign to get it closed? How about a whole mob go down and forcedly close it? It's always someone else's fault ....

dave the police care more about petty crime, the community are scared. them crack or ***** houses are run by real gangsters. the police don't want to do anything about it no matter how many residents complain.

Typical of North London to be honest, no jobs, nothing better to do. How many years since the Broadwater riots and yet they still act like backward 3rd world countries when it kicks off!

Maybe to avoid riots such as the one this topic is about.

if the police wanted to raid the crack houses they could of set up sting operations, but they don't want to get there hands dirty. I know where Bruce grove police station is I've been in there a long time ago, I can't justify payig for a pay and display and wait for an hour give a report and then nothing gets done.
people that come out of prison get told that there is opportunities out there for em. they come out of prison and they can't pass the checks so no wants to employ them. so what do you expect the people to do??? the whole system is obviously not working down here.

Are you speaking from direct experience here?
With regards to what I expect people to do in these situations, well firstly dont commit crimes that cause you to go to prison would be a good start, secondly if you do return from a stint at her majestys pleasure, dont grumble about not having a job as it was your own actions that put you in the situation in the first place. The world doesnt owe you a living.
