The finding bikes and dogs bit was a bit tedious but Ross noble was a good guest and the Monaco driving at the end was brilliant.

I noticed Ross Noble got a fast time but didn't heel-toe. When he downshifted coming into Chicago? he almost blew the engine.

Agreed. Don't get why theres so much hate for TG. It's still worth watching.

There aren't that many car shows as it is and 5th Gear is just pants. Car enthusiasts are a bit like scifi fans - they complain there isn't enough of the genre on the TV and then slag the hell out of anything on the TV in that genre.

Thnkfully I recorded it and watched it later. I was able to zip past all the sh!te bits.

First sh!te bit. The silly tasks they had to do in the 3 cars. Straight to the back roads and track would have been better.

Second sh!te bit. The news. What news? Growler??? Oh how I laughed, not.

Third Sh!te bit. Star in a reasonably priced car. Never watch that bit.

Poor episode this week. 5th Gear is getting more enjoyable.

5th gear is crap and always will, but I'd give VBH one.

True, I just thought this show really stretched it to the limit. At least it looked realistic a lot of the time. The silly bits detracted from the main event in this one though.

I do like it and I don't mind the entertainment angle and crazy car tests but I don't like being spoken to like I'm a bit wrong in the head.

5t.

Its just as well that since I can't stand Clarkson on TG that I never watch it, so did not waste any time watching it instead of something far more interesting.

Yeah they do occasionally hit a wrong note with some gags, they are not proper actors after all and it doesn't always work.

If it was just pure car reviews though it would be boring as hell.

The show would have been awesome if Clarkson had elbowed Ecclestone in the face and fractured his cheekbone

Do know what it is about Eccle$stone but I cannot stand the guy, he looks like a right $leazy tw%t. Of the same ilk as Peter Stringfellow.

I enjoyed the show, but really got annoyed with the Aston Martin stuff. It's so bloody pointless.
He starts by saying he wants a fast car that's also comfortable (DB9). Then he proves that probably due to his driving the new model was only a touch faster than the DB9. And then moans about it not being comfortable when of course he could have just used a DB9.

Oh and I was also a bit annoyed at putting James in the Clio as it would have been the faster car for sure.

I enjoyed the monaco part but they need to revise the comedy sketch parts of the show as it has become rather tedious now. Clarkson goes way over the top, they both pick on captain slow..blah blah same old stuff really.

Clarkson - Childish yob who likes nothing more than to bully and ridicule anything and anyone, especially May.
May - Intelectual old duffer with no social skills and a penchant for incessant moaning
Hammond - a complete dim witted himbo who provides the "eye candy" for the ladies/laddetts.

They're just playing up their on-screen persona's that appeals to their market audience...that's nearly everyone on here then.

I heard Hammond has a big following in the gay community.

I continue to enjoy TopGear for what it is, light entertainment.
For those who remember the "old" Topear with the likes of Penny Mallory, Noel Edmonds and William Woollard, the current light hearted show is welcomed change.
As previously suggested, if you don't like it, you're free to change channels.

Exactly what I was going to say. How anyone can describe a GT car with 470 horsepower like the DB9 as "having a whiff of old fart about it" has seriously got the premise of his piece hopelessly wrong. The car he wanted was the DB9, end of.

He usually finds something to whine about for every episode, yet he watches it every single week.

Go figure.
