That is a frightening account and it goes to show that crims seem to have no fear of the law any more and it is so lucky that they did not treat you any worse than they did. These days life seems to be of little importance any more to people like that. Ken Clarke and the previous regime have got a lot to answer for.

You give good advice about not opening the door and it is to be hoped that the cops would actually turn up quickly enough at the time if they were informed of the threat.

I think that crims like that would soon start trying to break in through the door or a window.

Glad you are all ok.

Jesus, I think I would just hide !

if they find me, they find me with a Fiat 500 driveshaft, imagine being brained with a component from a 22 bhp car.

Glad you are (mostly) ok.

You did seem so calm in that post, that would be my worst nightmare especially if I wasn't there and my wife and kids were alone in the house, a la Buster-Wrx.

Hope they find the B@stards

this method of torture is an age old special forces trick, although it would not surprise me the "yoof of tday" had a total disregard for life. the SF method would be to cover the head and throw a small cup of petrol in the covered face of the victim, Demanding info. if unsuccesful another cup would be thrown in the face followed by a "**** it" and followed up with a large cannister of water to wash away the fuel but give the impression of being covered in petrol. kneeling next to the victim and placing a lighter in there hand and/or stating what would happen next would usually give the desired result. scarey stuff to ordeal though either way, especially in your own home.

Jeezus LPB - That sounds frigging awful dude! I hope the local feds are going to keep circling for the next few weeks. You got any idea how old the guys were? Any chance they left fingerprints? I hope they get caught and spend a lengthy stretch inside having their a-hole pwnd by Bubba the a-hole marauder.

Maybe it was the SF as you have not been much of a fan on here of our troops fighting in Iraq or Afgan, just my two pence.

However i would not wish that on anyone and hope you and your bird are ok and recover.

Doubt it two of them were pretty soft if i was left against those two i would have smashed them, the third was a different kettle of fish. Big strong and clearly had had some mma training.

it's horrible. It almost makes you want to go vigilante and go get them while they are in their homes at night - See how they like it...

That sounds utterly terrifying, I'm glad they didnt follow through with their threat, perceived or otherwise!

A strong case for keeping a couple of flash bangs by the window, if you're in any doubt, drop a few out the window, better to wake the whole neighbourhood than go through that again.

I hope you recover quickly and that the police can & do catch them before anyone else has to go through this ordeal.
One thing I have always said is if Im ever attcked - misses too Grab the ear and hold on. The ****er will fall off and youll get dna. It's also unlikly they will try and staple it back on!

I too live in Milton Keynes and after the shooting and now this I think we deserve REAL city status.

What car is it - I'll keep a look out.

All the best mate, hope everything works out for you.

Wonder what they were planning to do, if you had of slept through the noise outside, could have perhaps ended up a lot worse, considering the GF was up stairs

ten out of ten for keeping it together, I would literally be widdling myself shouting/begging please take the wife and her audi instead of the scooby!

Glad no one was hurt. I think we should be allowed to use any means necessary to protect our loved ones and property.

What an awful thing to happen and I can't believe they poured petrol over the pillow case! If anyone came into my house demanding money they wouldn't get much, I only take £30 out of the cashpoint at a time

Glad you're ok and your girlfriend wasn't injured.

Look from the window and if in doubt call the police. Fighting three guys is hard.
