The only way is Billet, which ever turbo you use.
All this talk of big turbo's is well and good but if you want point and poke, quicker spool is the way forward.
The entire SC range is getting rave reviews. The 50 page plus thread (the last time I looked) on here is well worth a read. I did and ended up buying an SC38 and its "only" putting out 395hp but it spools well on my 2.0 and would only spool quicker on a 2.1. Ok, its not big league like the 46-50 or the MD, or the Garrets but it puts a smile on my face everytime I plan the loud pedal.

Aye, I was very happy with the results!
I do have a graph at home but I i'm out in Angola til Wednesday. When I get back I will scan them in and post them up. My run was cut short as at high end it appeared to be running lean but the power line was still soaring and boost never fell off at all. Ive spoken to my mapper about this and he's very kindly offered a "checkup" to make sure its running safe before going back on the rollers for another blast. I reckon it might make 400hp. If you want a nosey at my (filthy) car its in an RR day feature of this months Total Impreza.
One thing's for sure though, turbo's aint cheap!

Forged 2.1 high compression engine with steel rods in mine now. It's using a completely stock JDM STi twin scroll VF37 setup, 6200rpm shift point, will still rev to 8000rpm if required to hold a gear mid corner. 400lbft@3500rpm on Zen Rollers, using the DD RD method it shows over 430lbft on the road.
It's an ultra quick spooling cross country real world driving rocket, it wont win any prizes on the drag strip or dyno but will leave a lot of these big turbo cars for dead at legal speeds on real roads.

Completely standard suspension at the moment with my own geometry spec, i am just about to replace the struts/springs with some Bilstein Coilovers as they are worn out now (54K miles).
Brakes are stock, using EBC Blue NDX pads and EBC disks currently.

HELLO MATESC46 IS A GOOD TURBO ON A 2.1, IVE JUST HAD A 2.1 STROKER IN MY P1 AND BOUGHT A SC46 OF JURA AND GOT 420 BHP AT 1.6 BAR WITH PLENTY MORE LEFT BUT NEED A FEW THINGS SORTED B4 I GO TO 450 ISH
