Alcohol issues
There's no such thing as alcohol allergy. Also, I'm struggling to understand how anyone can go from "never being a drinker" to necking whole bottles of wine per night, with nothing in between.
That said, aching all over the body suggests something blood circulation or gland related. Whatever it is though, the smart thing to do would be to take the massive hint your body's giving you and flaming well drink less, before it does you any real damage.

It could be menstruation related because Lou is a woman, but yes sure drinking less during that time would probably help.
I've had two episodes of memory loss whilst drunk, scared the hell out of me 'cos I did some mad stuff and have no recollection.
Might be intolerance to alcohol, could be having a reaction to certain chemicals/ingredients in beer, like the malt, yeast etc did you say its worse when you drink beer.
Might be worth having a skin test, they can usually tell from that if you are having a reaction/allergic to certain ingredients used in alcohol.....

You are consuming a weeks worth of alcohol in one sitting and we have established your not young. This is not a smart policy, since your body is clearly finding it extreamly hard to work the poison out of your system.
Certainly to me this sounds like a Liver problem, struggling to clear the poison from your system. Get some Milk Thistle from a health shop or even e-bay. That is PROVEN to clear your liver, and aids its function.
Also consider a lifestyle change, over indulgence is one thing, but when your body is screaming out for you not to do something, it tends to be time to listen....

Alcohol is bad, full stop. However, you can drink in a way to limit the damage and it sounds like you're not doing that. As alcohol is a diuretic, it means that you are dehydrated, so that might be the problem.
OK, so saying don't drink any more is unrealistic, but what about drinking alcohol and a glass of water alternatively?
BTW, wine is awful for dehydration I've found.

Lou, looking at this from the other angle - maybe you should drink a little more quantity, a little more often to see if you can build up a tolerance. Obviosuly, don't start with a litre of vodka, but maybe some of the weaker lagers, Carling C2 perhaps.
My other thought was to get some Becks Blue (their alcohol free stuff) which, if it is alcohol causing your symptoms, should leave you feeling fine the next day.
Oh, and Jamie is an annoying *****, but he's got the proud achievement of being the only person on my ignore list. He's that spethal.

Just a thought but do you think it has anything to do with my face swelling the other week?
Despite what people may think, I'm not an alcoholic and my friends drink way more than me!
