I've always done driving jobs, used to work with horses. No qualifications really, should have done better in school.

Yeah even then your in a position where your stuffed without "experience", as yours is on a bus Rich. I found that out, even though they are very very smilar.

I`ve a Class 2 which is the same size for the most part as a bus, yet no one will take me one due to the experience thing, or say sorry we ONLY want Class 1.

I`ve been out of work since First did the same to me, yet nothing. So now am on a course to do my Class 1 licence and a NVQ in "Driving Goods Vehicles" mostly sucking eggs tbqh as I was brought up around Lorries.

Yet where are the jobs??
I`ll probably be in the same position now when I qualify, but won`t have paid this time

See what they say about unpaid leave first before looking for other jobs buddy.

 

Yeah, going to speak to union Monday and see what they say.

 

Just seen this Rich, bad news mate. It's easy to make snap decisions when you've had crap news (or just feeling crap). Take some time to think about what you'll be doing and don't do anything rash. That car of yours is unique and has been put together based on what you wanted to do with it. You'll regret breaking it so don't.....not until all other avenues have been investigated.

 

Rich gimmie your keys and I`ll make it disappear for a few months, and you can have it back as it is now with no more miles on that it has now.

But ask for an appointment with the person in charge, and go and speak to them. Unions are a waste of time.
If you look as if your proposing a solution to help them, then they are more likely to play ball.
But what ever they agree or disagree to could you have in writing
