OH, and 55mpg and £110 a year Car tax, and 340Nm of Torque ... that's it really - OH, hold on a minute, it was £14,000 cheaper and is better built, more equipment and a thing of beauty too.

Hmmmm, bummer that
And above all this its given you an obvious hole in your life and a very deep routed wish that you could turn the clock back.

or they are the twin scroll 2.0l version from Japan. Any gone bang yet?

You'll never win guys. He's a sad old man with no life other than trolling the forums. He's been banned from a civic forum. Says it all really. Well done to the civic mods for banning him - maybe our mods will do the same.

He never makes any comment about the crap parts of his amazing Honda (crap ride, stupid seats, daft dashboard, no rear view, pathetic paint etc etc). Can't accept that any other car can possibly be better than his (thats why everyone has a civic you know) He dreams about his 'amazing torque, £110 tax, and 55mpg'. Those figures are actually crap in any case. My Mrs' BMW 1 series diesel is faster, does 60mpg, and has £30 tax.

Come on mods, let him go bother some other forum

By the way - can you Map my Honda so it can pull my Garden Trailer to the Re-Cycle yard?
I'm universally known as "AJ" or "Alan" apart from my four strapping sons, who call me "Dad". To anyone else, it's Mr. Jeffery.
I don't feel inadequate in any situation. I understand that you're used to bullying others into submission throughout your 26,000 flippin' posts but I'm not prone to it, certainly not intellectually.
If I've said anything about myself it's to back up the fact that I'm in a position to pontificate on certain subjects. I'm sure you wouldn't listen to Brian *** if he didn't have "Professor" in front of his name.
Reference your tendency to bring my genitalia into the discussion.
I can argue the point about the ultimate sadness involved in Honda diesel ownership, and the inevitable parking space retained at rest homes around the country to accomodate them. However, I can't argue about your crass "small *****" jibe, without getting mine out and waving it around to prove otherwise. One thing I can state quite clearly however.
I most certainly have *****.

Sorry, 28,000 posts! - Crikey.

PS. Yes, I can map your Honda.

£14,000 less than Subaru want for an Impreza STi .... I did make that clear in an earlier post.

That's why the 2.5% isn't going to change things ... which is where i came in, in post number 1.

I'm wrong with that £14,000 .... I've just been to check the price of the Impreza STi on Subaru's website - and my Civic was £16,000 LESS!!!

Holy Crap! No wonder Subaru cannot sell them!!

Dont worry I understand that its painful to say. A bit of banter is one thing, toying with someones emotions who has that sinking feeling of knowing they've ballsed up is another. It must be horrible knowing that you're now stuck with it for a long time or face a depreciation hit that will undo all those 50mpg fuel savings you've been doing. You have my sympathy.
On the plus side you have a 3 year warranty for when the clutch and gearbox inevitably lets go.

Would u take your civic to a track Pete? I think not. So why we still coming back to the same subject? Some of us get the sti spec scoob to have something nippy on the road and to have loads of fun on the track... Your car purpose is different, so no need to post your tourqe etc again and again.....its just an everyday modern diesel and not a sports car however u love it. We choose and like different things as we are all diferent m8. Although people insulting and slaging great cars like civic type R's are childish in my opinion.... have a look at JDM spec and its a whole diferent story.... I'm folowing Japanese TA and other type of events and must say honda type R's are not much down by the lap times, as they have been built for tarmac and their chassis are brilliant . To tell you the trueth i cant see myself driving a scoob everyday also as i have different priorities and would have your civic instead BUT not for a fun factor!!!! For that i would keep my good old classic sti v3. It puts a smile on my face still after 3.5 years.

Civic diesel - everyday
Impreza STI - weekend/track fun

BASTA!!!

Superchips will cover the manufacturers warranty up to its time limit.
Should the car fail, and should Honda refuse a warranty claim on the basis that you've had it chipped, than Superchips insurance company will pay the repair bill.
In the seven years or so they've been running this scheme, we've never heard of a claim.
It's free for the first year, then a small charge per year until the warranty runs out.
Superchips are generally up to speed, but not all brand new models will be covered just yet, so you may have to wait for that one.

That's actually a decent offering ..... I must be honest, I was expecting a 'sell it and run' warranty.
