No problem at all. Check to see when the ipad2 is out, it is rumored to be in next couple of months. Have a feeling it was start of April last year. iPhone revision might appear in September as well

See if there are any outlet stores near where you are. Usually seriously good discounts on stuff. Fir example, we have an Eddie Bauer outlet store near us and I ended up getting six shirts, six pairs of trousers. Normal store price would have been at least CAD$1000 but actual price was $200. Very good quality stuff too.
I'm trig to think of ther things that are cheaper in the US, apart from clothes and some electronic stuff I cannot think of much else

I'm off to the Big Apple next week, where at some point I will.be dragged on a shopping trip by my better half. To ease the burden, I was wondering if there is anything worth buying over there which I would be able to sell on for a profit over here.

I will echo some of the other comments here. No Sales Tax in NJ IIRC, but depending on where you are staying, it may not be the easiest to get to, (I always stay in Staten Island, so very easy)
If you go to a shopping mall, you can visit the Information desk and tell them you are from the UK, they might well give you a voucher book for extra discounts.
I have bought wireless laptops, Wireless PDAs etc over there, no problem with them over here at all, except they have US power supplies, so get an adaptor. If you are in Best Buy, they have them right there, or at the Airport if you forget.
Exchange rate is just not what it used to be, but check what your CC offers, as will be even worse I reckon.

Sw is picking up tools for me which I'm buying from Amazon, it states at check out an estimated sales tax amount, I've seen that there are exemptions from paying this but Amazon doesn't clearly clarify who it applies to.
Any ideas?
