That would be a Type R with a 22B bumper fitted sometime afterwards

Non of the Type R's had the 22B bumper as standard. They were all fitted afterwards

Ian,

Remember that these cars are old now and will have had several owners probably and so different owners have done different things. SVA aren't going to list all the mods that they have. Its specialist stuff and with a bit of surfing you will be able to find how the car came out of the factory.

Personally i like them to look orginal and hence why my car has all the standard body trim on it. If you look at the picture below of mine youl will see it doesn't have a 22B bumper

Only the 22B came out of the factory with the 22B bumper

Its a Version 5. The version 6 has a lip spoiler. You'd struggle to get a good V5 or 6 for 5K. You still end up spending loads of money whatever, after you've bought one. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise !

All Type R's WRX Sti's have DCCD. Don't think the WRX Type R did though. Never seen one though. They all tend to be the STi over here

I don't think there is a major difference on the engine from a V4 5 or 6. ECU became mappable on the V5, but most have had aftermarket ECU's fitted by now anyway. The body is different on a V4. Different bumpers and the inetrior is different. Still a good car though and usually a little cheaper than a V5/6 due to the above

The engine geeks will tell you the mechanical differences in more detail. Or do a search on here and you should find the info you're looking for

I like the white ones by the way, but you can't get a Type R Limited in white hence why mine is blue. The only colour the Limited came in

mine has a 22b bumper and grille (fitted in Japan) but it is coming of next week and will look like steves above once done. I have put the car back on original wheels also (powdercoated last week) as these cars are quite rare and should not be messed with imho
