Hit the nail on the head there mate!

I used to manufacture FRP bodykits and on a daily bases had phone calls regarding working with FRP and modifying mouldings that weren't even our supply.

Fair play to the clinic putting a post up on SNET

This is the kind of service you will get from Richard Henry, snapped my alternator/power steering belt on way from home and is it my only car. Rang them and they replaced the belt for me within the hour!

Hi,

I spend hours speaking to customers on the phone I also answer over 40 e mails everyday, every one gets a reply, some claim they dont but e mails can get filtered out and sent into spam.

You are right in what you say regarding time wasters and dreamers, we have one guy at the moment who rings every week going through all the billet turbo,s, after 5 weeks of this I did ask him to take a look at our epic turbo thread in trader announcements, especially page 32 where all the graphs and prices are, maybe this is the disgruntled guy who posted on here.

It is in our interest to spend time with people, we always give sound advice, many times talking people out of stuff they dont need, stuff that they have been wrongly advised on forums to buy.

After 22 years of trading as a specialist from the same premises it saddens me to see someone being given bad advice, a new scoob owner needs to find a good specialist like API, Engine tuner, rcms, or indeed us at the clinic to look after their pride and joy, not end up at certain places that will fleece them dry, leaving a bad taste which usually ends up with the scoob having to be sold, another loss to the Subaru community.

Just my take on it and thanks to the people that have supported us on this thread.

cheers
Kev

Hi,

the problem is that on a 2.0ltr 430 BHP will be a trade off with spool. To see 430 BHP on a 2.0 ltr engine would need our SC46 Billet, its a roller bearing core and spools well, but would spool better on a 2.1ltr or a 2.2ltr and is mental on a 2.5ltr, hence see the thread and the graphs here.

https://www.scoobynet.com/799025-sco...better-32.html

Our 20G billet known as the SC40 Billet will hit 400BHP and will out perform a standard 20G all day long without a trade off on spool, just may not hit 430BHP as its all down to how the engine breaths, i.e. inlet/induction, cams and exhaust, so untill we bolt one on to your set up and map the car we are sort of stabbing in the dark as to what power the car will actually do, however taking a look at the thread and the graphs on page 32 will show what all the range of turbo's will do on a selection of different engines, 2.0ltr, 2.1ltr, 2.2ltr, 2.5ltr, avics and non avics, they are all there and more.

Trust me I personally dont like being pointed to a web site, when I want to buy something I want to talk to someone who knows the product, not just be re-directed to a web page, had this done to me at Comet when looking for a new TV, end result no sale and I doubt I would go back.

Give me a call if you wish to discuss your turbo options with me or better still pop in and actually see one for real, give the shaft a twiddle as everyone does.

Cheers
Kev

I work in sports retail and I see so many time wasters in my business and we are only talking tens or hundreds of pounds. So I can have a good guess what kind of dreamers tuners have to deal with. Personally I have never bought from Scoobyclinic but have emailed them a couple of times and both times had a very detailed reply not just a quick note trying to fob me off.

Never said you were. What i'm saying is, there are dreamers out there and there are people who just mess you around so sometimes because of that it is easier to direct someone to a website ect, if they are genuinely interested that customer will come back to you. Like I've said I have had good communication from Scoobyclinic through enquiries and find it harsh your posting that their customer service is rubbish.

Iv had 2 engines built by clinic and they have had sheer abuse and never missed a beat,1st was a stock P1 rebuild that i had mapped on 10% meth and even ran it at 1.65 bar did just under 400 bhp without any problems,(not saying you shouould try this on a stock engine mind lol )the other is my 2.3 that was 500 bhp and that also is faultless.

its like any other business if you have something done and you're not happy tell them, they cannot do anything about it unless you tell them.

I know from experience kev and adam will bend over backwards to help you.

ive not been up there for ages but as soon as I had a problem with my newage wagon it was a no brainer my car was going there and only there.

the day after I dropped it off I got a call from adam, were worried about your car mate, what do you want us to do, not weve fixed it heres a large bill.

speaks volumes for me.

i had an standard engine rebuild at scoobyclinic on my V5 wrx about 4years ago. after i blew it on track. import + no remap + trackday = boom

engine is still going strong, and ive done a few trackdays with no problems at all.

and i live 140 miles away, needless to say my running period didnt take long. lol
