Mrs Leslie tells me she heard that any deeper than 2" on your roof and you will get done for it.

Not that hard to brush off anyway.

Rule 229 of HC says "remove all snow that might fall into the path of other road users" but this is an advisory, so it seems dodgy for people to be fined for not doing it.

I just had a look at the roof of my van and there is 4inches of snow up there, its about 3m high so how do you get that snow off

Heard of a motorist today travelling from Norfolk to Lincolnshire, braked hard and the snow slid forward blocking his vision, resulting in him colliding with a truck. Whoops

id like to see a 6ft bloke clear the snow of his 15ft lorry trailer

if i got 3points for snow on my roof id put the copper onit till he dropped off

I drive an artic all day usually pulling at least 3 or 4 trailers some over 16foot high, what they wanting me to do, climb up on the roof with a brush to clear the snow off, antother typical way to take money off people.

at the lorry drivers, typical i'm alright Jack **** everyone else attitude. So because your vehicle is taller than you are that makes it alright to cause a hazard on the road then with a lovely snow trail falling on the traffic behind you?

Had a 6" of snow on top of my Pathfinder today and took me a good 15 mins to clear it properly. Easily done, stand on the tyres and hold onto the roof rails and reach across with the broom and push it off the far side.

Then went shopping and saw all the idiots in the car park in tiny little cars with 6"+ of snow on their cars that would take 2 mins to clear but they couldn't be ar$ed. Hope they do get done as they deserve it.

lol and how do i get on top of a 16"foot high trailer im not even allowed in the trailer due to heath and safety laws lol

My van is totally safe but I hope when I drive along next time you are behind me and all the snow on my roof blows on you

Not that I see how it will move when temps are -7 and its been the same since the snow started

So the inside of your van is -7 then is it? The warmth inside your van isn't going to warm the roof of your van which in turn loosens all that snow so it eventually slides off?

I hope you are one of those who gets nicked for driving without due care and attention due to the snow on your van roof

It's not a white van you drive is it?
