What does it say about the car and driver when the main boast is not the lateral G in the corner you recorded on your iPhone, but the super 36mpg achieved in the highest performance TT in the range

Very true, I didn't exactly thrash the car as the majority of my journey was up the M6 in friday afternoon traffic but I did wind it up the once when it was clear and it got upto the 6th gear 'brick wall' very briskly. (On that private stretch of course)
Still 36mpg isn't to be sniffed at, it probably wont happen again as the thing should be getting mapped mid week, it's just I was pleasantly surprised that this is what it is capable of by taking it easy. I'll be happy if I can keep it above an average of 30 whilst still having the odd blast here and there though
I'm not a hairdresser or an EA, honest

Looks nice Mitchy and for a fast car that's great mpg even if you were taking it easy. Some performance cars just drink whether going fast or not.
Anyway, well done and enjoy!

A video taken recently at Brunters from a 450bhp RS.. (You have to listen to the audio of the M5 driver)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXuxi...embedded#at=33
And the GTR against the same machine John

Not too shabby from a Golf with an RS badge stuck on the bonnet

But you see Mitchy that is exactly the problem with your car. You will forever be explaining to people how fast it is or can be. You will bore mates in the pub with that and girls will avoid you because they don't want to hear you tell them again how its faster than a Porsche.
With John and I we never have to tell people how fast it is or justify the purchase. People just know that I'm driving one of the fastest four door saloons in the world, and that John is driving one of the fastest cars on the road full stop.
No explanations or videos needed, the symbols M5 and GTR say all that needs to be said.

All it tells me is what all racing drivers know - if you carry more speed through the corner you will be hard to pass
The GTR let the M5 carry more speed and then struggled to catch it, and then the Golf totally caught the M5 out.
And Ding is right

Girls daydream about the perfect man.
A man who is sensitive, listens, understands them, is caring and attentive and drives a sleek and sexy Audi TT.
Sadly, they have already all got boyfriends

Hey you think a TTRS is bad for "over explanation syndrome" - try driving a "fast" auto diesel estate car...
To save money on these bonkers cars some of you have - drive a LR Defender for a week then return to your quick machine. I can guarantee that even a fairly "warm" car will feel like a freaking rocket!
Drove our BM for the first time in two weeks last night (novely of the 110 hasn't worn off yet so using it a lot) and it felt like a mad F1 car!
