Nice one Dan. Lots of good work there.
I had RB5 No 95 but I wrote it off on the ice. Mine had a VF28, Full decat, Tein suspension, Prodrive Alcon brakes and rear spoiler. 330/310.
They are special cars and look different to the normal Subaru. I used to take the fog covers off if I left it anywhere.

Lovely RB - I have #174. Owned from new and now on nearly 220,000 miles! It's had pretty much everything changed as it's worn out but the bodywork is looking tired - the rear arches have gone as yours did. Did the body shop cut out the rusty sections? I'm just in the process of getting quotes to sort them out.
One word about the fog light covers - apart from the risk of getting them pinched, they hold water after rain and it makes the lights disintegrate eventually - I now have new PIAA's but only put the covers on occasionally.
Will be at Prodrive for the Richard Burns day as well so will try and say hello...

Yeah the body shop cut the arches out and welded in new ones. It was a very expensive job, but worth it.
I had the same thought about the covers, seeing as we'll be getting a lot of rain this week, i'll take them off i think.
Please do say hello. I'll be coming in a convoy of fellow impreza owners.
Shame i won't have the wheels refurbished in time for the event though thats the only bit that lets the car down now!

I'll look out for you. My wheels are a mess as well - just another thing to get done sometime but as I use the car every day and lug the mountain bike around on the back etc it's never gonna be a show car that's for sure. Still the Zen built engine, although nothing wild still means it can stand up for itself :-)

Mini update:
I had the RB 4Wheel aligned today. I found a place in Stratford (by work) and booked it in there:
http://www.stratfordtyres.co.uk/
They had the car from 8:30 to 4pm and set it up back to OEM settings. Three of the wheels were bang on the OEM figures, but the nearside front caster angle was out by 1degree. Enough to make it wonder all over the place.
They've 100% rectified the issue and now the scoob runs straight and true.
The cost of this was £50 bargain.
I've also bought a brand new set of wheel nuts, so they will look great when they are on.
Just need to get it ready for the RB day at prodrive now!!

Check out my nuts!!
So from this:
To this:
The wheels really need a refurb....but i must save the monies for that. Shame really as they'll let it down on Saturday
Externally its looking good. Lots of detailing to do, yesterday evening it was washed, clayed, and had a layer of Zaino AIO, Z2, Z6 and the topped with Z8.
The bloody cats in the street have be a bit attracted to it over the past 24hours and its covered in moggy prints. Damn them!!

Had an excellent morning at Prodrive today
Met up with fellow RB5 owners looked around the sweet metal on offer at their Banbury base. My impreza wasn't as detailed as i'd like to be for the day but it didn't look too shabby
Not bad for a 99k mile motor.
Here are a few pics of Number 001 which has done minimal miles.
Its almost as mint as mine!!!
More photos later when i've sorted them.

Laid down a layer of FK1000p on the impreza - its now ready for winter
Blat across the malverns to disturb the hill walkers and a couple of snaps of it looking very purposeful.
Puts a huge huge smile on my face every time i turn the key.

Thanks chaps.
She is nice
Every receipt from brand new and more history you can poke a stick at - it doesn't get much better
It looks and feels a lot newer than its 99k odometer suggests.

That's a very clean and nice example you have there Dan. Highly praised by EVO magazine as well.
You don't happen to have more pictures of #001 do you? That thing looks bloody new!

I'll have a dig on my PC for some - i think i've got a few more
I have contacted EVO to see if they want in the 'me & my car' feature at the back of the magazine. Would love it if they did.
Thanks all for the comments.

Took the impreza for a quick photo shoot here are a few pics of it in the snow outside the clock tower in Malvern.
Nice B&W one:
The Impreza is fantastic in the snow and you don't need a shed load of revs to have a play.
Looking forward to when the snow departs us so i can wash the salt off it!! lol
