No match for the spec C? Must have been a crap driver if I'm honest Steve. They're faster than an M5 on track and also don't have a top end limiter. They will happily pull past 175mph.
If it was on damp country lanes then yes the M would struggle as they're a serious handful to drive and drive well, unlike the scoob.
Get one on dry roads with someone that can use it and I'm pretty confident they would destroy any 350bhp impreza without fuss
