alloy guru needed
about alloy ET
for example ET38 vs ET30
bigger concave
is alloy/lip more outside arches-bigger space from inside corner fender?
id like to fit 235 tyre not 225 on 8J wide alloy
235 will touch fender with 38 - with 30 will be 8mm outside corner fender?

18x8.5 et35 with a 2254018 tyre would be better , but you loose the concaveness , these will fit on fine

I have a WRX STI 2006 and I'm trying to decide what will be better looking: Grid drift or g-force in 18x8.5 ET35 or ET30. Do you have pictures of a preferably blue hawkeyed STI with gold versions of these rims?
Currently the ride height is standard, but I'd like to switch to a pair of coilovers in the future and not have to do any modifications to the arches. Therefore it would be better to go for 8.5 rather than 9 or 9.5 right? As I understand it the concave effect goes down quite much when choosing the 8.5s, but as long as it will fill the arch I'll be happy =)
Can you send me a quote for 18x8.5 ET35 (or ET30 if you think that's better) with Nankang NS2 tyres (or any other tyre that you think is good for the same sort of money) for both grid drift and g-force? What dimensions should I use for the tyres, 225/40/18 or 235/40/18?

just a spectator comment here:
I run Rota 18x8.5 et45 SVN's on 235/40R18 tires, and the tires are (to me) too narrow for the 8.5inch rim, 245s would be a better fit.
Granted, some people like stretched tires, but I don't like the fact that gravel etc smashes the rim as no tire protects it, never mind track driving, when the sidewall flexes and the curbs hit the rim itself.
Just food for thought.

you will need to run 18x8.5 and a 2254018 tyre , the grids still have a small concave effect in this size as do the forces
you may need to run camber bolts at the rear if you do get rubbing on hard cornering
