I thought envelopes were printed at some point, so they knew that one had been used before?

Some of them stick on address labels would cover the original address spot on, just need to devise a way of opening them without damage

 

All most post is printed/stamped/whatever with postal date etc

Opening without damage - sharp knife and slive the seal then cover with sellotape
I've done that a few times when I've say forgotten to put cheque in for credit card payments.

 

Definitely no stamps on this one.

Just UKMAIL on the top right hand corner, had the odd letter "hand delivered by royal mail" that i have written "**** off you spamming ****s" on the front before popping back into a post box, but those ones never return

 

Thats right-cant think where I got what I said from.

No problem. I just assumed that this came into the category of "famous hard men that had names that didn't match thier image".

So Marion Morrison and Shirley Crabtree fitted that and your comment about a famous cowboy called Shirley meant that I made an obvious (but wrong) connection.
