A remap will sort out any lag
As for chav, I know this is a scoob forum but I havent yet seen a chav in an evo (probably due to the initial costs of the vehicle) whereas scoobs dare I say it is a chav taxi (I used to own a scoob so dont hate them)
To the OP depends what you want the car for, the m5 is a luxury cruiser where you could just leave it to itself to drive but it is more than capable should you want some fun.
The evo is a more involved raw car that can be placid when not driving to its potential or it can be an animal. Personally I drive my evo approx 800 miles to work per week and its fine
Fuel economy on my evo is just over 300 miles to a 55ltr tank thats with a mix of driving (my scoob averaged about 180 ish runnng probably about 260 max whereas my evo runs just short of 400)
Both are very good cars, they just do the same thing but in a different way, its a good choice to b able to make

just swop my 55 plate M5 for the new m3 saloon .....regretted the move !!!
great car if you can afford the fuel bills and running cost (as parts are mega expensive )
awesome car though ..i only average 11mpg around town, my new M3 is not much better @14 mpg !!!
