Rio - surely only once FFS - No?

Gerrard isn't as clean cut as some of you like to think either

I don't agree with Richies comment either FM, but why would the players want to play with him if they wouldn't want to play under him??

They are all as bad as each other, don't see they would play any worse, I bet they have a great laugh about it in the changing room.

Why hasn't Ferdinands drug ban not been made a big issue? that is a footballing matter

Some bitter bitter blues on here, fecking love it I've said it previously on this thread that they are all at it and the only difference is Terry's got caught! I think Rio will be a good captain

When i was travelling around with the European Tour (golf) it was the same, the big name players were ******** everything. Darren Clarke being a prime example, ****

If he/England have a bad World Cup the media will hammer him and he will go though all this again. The other reason is what Paul has posted, the media are saying that there are England players who will not play if Terry is captain.Apart from Wayne Bridge(who hasn't came out publicly and said he wouldn't),who else has told the F.A/Capello they wouldn't.

Just for the record FM and to the rest of the SN.John Terry's Individual Awards

A not bad for a player who you numpty's say can't defend and shouldn't be in the England squad.Fact's are he's England's best defender.

I think Rio made too many high profile errors before he got injured and his inclusion in the squad was being questioned, then there is his long term injury and has had no games really this season. How will his fitness be this summer. Should be fresh as a daisy.

Gerrard has had a poor season and troubled by injury also. I think he has more presence than Rio though.

On performance and commitment i think Rooney should be up for it. Young, passionate and is going to get better and better.

JT was a good captain on the pitch and he has to stay in the team as he has been great this season.

Gerrard - assault, not guilty
Rooney - Granny ********
JT - everything ********
Rio - missed drug testing

Rooney isn't bad compared and i know he is a hot head. Maybe getting the armband will calm that part of his game down.

Everyone knows it goes on but only some get caught. People have been saying "it wasnt like this in 1966" blah blah. Thats because photographers weren't everywhere and ***** weren't selling stories to the sun. I bet they weren't whiter than white

I think giving Rooney the armband will be a bad decision, he's better just getting on with his game and not having the added responsiblity. Scholes is the same and thats why he doesn't want to be captain of United

Personally I always prefer a central defender to be captain as they can see the whole picture infront of them

Agree on Rooney earning it but also agree Id rather see him concentrate on scoring goals and nothing else. If he doesnt play well weve got no chance in SA. Hes a lot less petulant these days and he leads by example like Becks did.

Rio or Stevie G not much in it but it pains me to say Id probably pick Gerrard over Rio. Unfortunately neither have had a season to write home about.

At least when we lose that quarter/semi final penalty shootout we will have our pre-made excuse - John Terry

Same with Cheryl Cole. Surely its not a money thing as both could quite easily divorce and end up with a fat chunk of hubbys fortune. So either they think there is some prestige being married to a footballer or more likely imho that they are also at it so just turn a blind eye to it all.

Mourinho said a couple of weeks back even the warm up hasn't changed since he left Chelsea, must be his fault then
