Im running the standard exhausts on my 2010 hatch and it is quiet compared to most scoobys I hear, when eventually my Jetex cat back quads arrive(still Bl**dy waiting) it will sound better than it does but still wont sound like most others do,dont know why,Ty suggested to put a resonating centre pipe in which might help but also might make the cabin noisier

Would seem so, it certainly looked the genuine article, S203 grill badge, 203 alloys and rear spoiler. I'm sure those cars are out there as rare as they are but like my old man, he's got a nice Spec C but he's not a member on Scoobynet so I guess people on here wouldn't know the car or have seen it around.

I only ask because I pass Glenn's place every morning on my way to work and on that morning his car was not on is drive. When I passed around lunchtime it was back.
Being such a rare species I am just wondering if what you saw might have been Glenn. There really aren't that many about. Was the car you saw a Hawkeye or Blobeye?
I am sure you know that if it was a blob it was indeed an S203 but if it was a hawk it was likely an S204.

Are you sure it was an S203 and not Glenn in his S204?

It was without doubt a blobeye which would make it a 203, identical to the one towards the back of the Brian Long hard back Impreza book.

I have not seen an S203 in the flesh. I had to ask though seeing that Glenn was out and about at the same time. I was in two minds to ask aswell because you seemed quite sure in your original post.
there are sooooo few Imprezas about these days its always a treat to see one.
I see two RB320's fairly regularly in and around Usk. A white 3rd Generation saloon in the same area but thats about it. I see Glenn's of course as I pass on my commute but apart from that I see the odd WR blue blobeye hear and there. Nothing else.
Simon (SSS) and I were discussing this the other day up at Ace Performance Cars Headquarters. Where have they all gone???

Tied the wreathes to the cenotaph to prevent the wind blowing them everywhere, then started 'the school run' collecting the 'Poppy Boxes'.

Remember the Blue Hliux Dai - and the blue Bedford van? I used to think the van was great. That was the first vehicle I properly learned to drive in.

I just want to add - that even though we used to call Hillcrest the Snakepit I personally like the area. My ex misses lived just around the corner just down from the Blaentillery.
Aber used to full of XR3's 3i's RS's Cosworths etc. People had some very nice cars there back in the late 80s and early 90's. Some 3.0 S Capri's about aswell.
Apart from the higher end models about there was a few older cars that had seen better days.
I can remember that the police would regularly pull over boys in the Mark I and MarkII Escorts to check if they had MOT’s and were road worthy.
I can remember a boy in Six Bells owning a green Turbo 2000 in about 1998-1999. It was the first Impreza I saw with any regularity.
Then Dai (luckwelshchap) bought his Catalunya and that was a regular site on the roads of Aber. The only two Imprezas in the town at that time.
What year did you buy that Catalunya Dai?

Obviously not sure how local the S203 is as it's the first time I've seen it but I'll keep an eye for it again. Your right, getting a pretty rare sight I was only saying to the Mrs the other week that we can go for a Sunday drive and clock up a fair few miles and not see another these days.
We pick pick one manufacturer and count how many we see compared to how many Subarus.
Need I even outline the outcome.
