Tuned car beats standard car SHOCKER !!!!!!!
Standard RS4 would waste your standard car though.
Plus, he's driving a well built £50k motor with a stonking V8 engine. Pull up anywhere in an RS4 and people think you have good taste, and you've made something of yourself.
You're driving a Japanese rise box. Pull up anywhere other than a School playground, and people just think you're a Chav, and that you've achieved 5 stars on your badge a McDonalds.

IF YOU DONT LIKE IT MATE YOU CAN ALWAYS GO ELSWHERE!!!!.
Far too many newbs coming on here and cant take a bit of banter or comments against a Subaru, i have had 3 now (garage) and one of the reasons i sold it and got the RS4 was that the image now of the subaru driver had been ridiculed (sp) to the point that everyone thinks you are a t*t on the road no matter if you are cruising at 70 or pooddling along everyone wants a go!!!!.
Never happened in the RS4 yet and mine is bright yelow, lol.
Its a car forum, stilover is entitled to a opinion as much as the op.

Bring back PSLewis... thats what I say!
I think the number of people that register on SN because they've finally bought a Scooby and think that everyone on here must A) Worship all things Scooby and not show any appreciation of any other marque, & B) Not really understand or take the time to bother to establish whats what on this forum, never ceases to amaze me (and I'm just generalising here).
I've just sold my 3rd Scoob and as one or two may know because I've posted in the "I also like other cars" section , I'm after something none-scooby (a 335 Coupe and an S3 as it happens, not quite RS4 but hey)
On a slightly more serious note (but please dont take this seriously ), think of this....
Yesterday I spotted a load of people ripping the sh*t out of the 306 owners forum because some cheeky French clutter loving monkey, has decided to tune his 306 to a very respectable 440BHP (if its to be believed) and proceeded to slate Scoobys. The ensuing fallout being that he got the pi** ripped out of him on this forum because, shock horror - a fairly heavily tuned 306 beat a scooby and that 306's are tat. Now, imagine what, if the owner of said RS4 is a forum type, is saying about your thread to his mates on the RS4OC forum (if there is such a thing). I realise its not a 100% like-for-like comparison, but I think it gets the point across
I think I speak for quite a few members who have been registered for a reasonable amount of time, when I say that generally speaking, when we see a thread which begins something like "I beat XXXXXX in my scooby" - specially in "I like other cars", its a bit embarrassing because some of us are over 18 years old and have got a grip. Save it for MaxPower and Fastcar.
Rant, waffle and general banter over. Have a nice day
(apologies in advance for any typos, spelling or grammatical errors - I cant be bothered re-reading it all.... are you still reading this???? )

Clean slate - For the record I have owned 3 Subaru's and many other types of vehicles, some of which you guys may not have heard about. I cannot stand Maxpower and all the other 'pimp my ride' magazines, and my first car wasnt a Nova SR with neons lol. I appreciate everyone has an individual taste and thats what makes us all different with different opinions. I prefer at the moment the uk300, but ultimatly this will be parted with (maybe this summer) to help fund my project car that has been sat in a garage for over 10 years and require a minimum of 13k spending on it. Im happy to read all comment and i am quite light hearted so it does take a lot to rile me, however again i feel then need to say if things are made personal then its uncalled for. Maybe some of you guys that are on here should give me reasons to why you are still on the SN forum and yet you no longer own a Subaru?? is this like a facebook for you guys, or do you still have the passion to want to own another Subaru.... im just interested.
You never know i may post the Project up although i will not be running a Subaru at that point due to the financial side
(the mrs doesn work so that would be 3 cars in the family lol - Md's wage wont cover travel expenses!!)
apologies for any typos, im at work so struggling for time to type.......

I can only speak for myself here but I still come onto SN because it's where I started out with high (ish) powered cars and the general banter is generally good natured.
I frequent PistonHeads much more than SN because they have a marque specific section.
As I said earlier, I had my UK Turbo nearly 10 years ago and I've moved on to what, I believe, is a better car for me.
You'll probably find that most people who post on this section maybe also only post on the Non- Scooby related section, like me.
Regards your project car, I reckon there's a few on here that would be interested to see the build stages of it - I certainly would.
One word of advice though - DON'T post pictures of yourself exercising in your pyjamas, or surfing in a rubber suit.

You never ever see Nova's on the road anymore!
Did they all rust away?
Mine needed a new door when I sold it due to the rust eating through the bottom of it.

There are some proper weirdos on other sections of this website.
Never even owned a Subaru but driven plenty and nearly bought one three times. Mrs Matt learned to drive in a 1995 Wagon Turbo (new at the time) too - a bit of a bonus when I started going out with her (it was her Dad's).

There are a lot of people who drive more than one car, who, for example may be very respected members who have not just very serious tuning knowledge with Scoobs, but may have input into the other marques they have had personal experience with. Look at John Banks for example, knows his Scoobs, has had M3s, Evos etc etc And there are many people like that, Nevetas for example - who has a very very enviable list of previous cars etc etc
If I come on here and post I'm considering getting X, Y or Z, theres a strong possibility there will be someone who has had experience of said cars.
Anyhooooo... thats my take on it

Notice how I just "joined in" without resorting to slagging off your FWD ultra chav hatch with much lower bhp than Ford state, that's almost a second slower than my diesel estate car to 100 and slower around the Bedford West circuit Oops, what happened there?

I DONT HAVE to give you or anyone else a reason to post on a car forum, do you own this site???
i prob had a scoob before you were a thought in your dads undercrackers son. we all love our cars, some have moved on and up and for the record i think that the scoob attracts to much of a chav image now and that was one of the main reasons i got rid.
aplogy accepted of course.
