It's well known that they shared the same political views ...

I do agree with you, really i do, mostly because in order to believe something like that, I would really have to see it.

Like has been said, **** like that just doesn't happen..... However I do believe that there are people out there in the world attempting to create all sorts of weird creatures through splicing dna, or whatever it is that they do.

You might be able to splice the genes in a lab but it simply won't work as nature (very much) intended!

I can't see anyone offering up their sperm to create some type of man/sheep hybrid. BUT, the same as donating blood, donated sperm does get used for research purposes.

I dunno about that.
I've had 2 'normal' kids with my wife and I know for a fact she's a different species from me.

Pity it died, would have been nice to see it get it's first mustache, get acne, start wearing make up.

I love it, some randy welsh bloke on holiday does things that 'scientists' have been struggling to do for years

It is really intriguing though, me and the missus were just discussing human evolution last night and how we have appeared to stop evolving, i personally think implants/cyborg stuff is thr way we will end up in the future, but maybe i got it wrong and our new sheep overlord masters will be making us fluffy instead

Imagine this, the previous Human race on this planet before our time, that we never knew about, evolved into sheep and lost the techniques to say " oii welshy get oot my **** "

Evolution hasn't stopped. We're a fair bit taller (mostly) than we were even a couple of hundred years ago. Hence all those old houses with internal roofs that are so low

"This incident is very shocking. It is my first time to see such an evil thing. It is really embarrassing," he reportedly said. "The head belongs to a man while the body is that of a goat. This is evident that an adult human being was responsible. Evil powers caused this person to lose self control. We often hear cases of human beings who commit bestiality but this is the first time for such an act to produce a product with human features,"

This quote, by the governor of the province is quality. Its like something from Lord of the Rings.

Once THEY work out how to transplant the human soul into a robot it will be the end of the human race as we know it ... the only thing holding us back (space travel etc) is the fragile nature of the human body ie we die every now & then. Robots on the other hand never die

As said it's probably a coincidence that it looks anything like a human, nothing more. Bit like those who decided that a ****-stain on their bog looks something like whichever deity they worship
Yep, there are pigs out there with glow in the dark noses from splicing jelly fish or other bio-luminescent animals genes into pigs genes etc. (and other 'more useful' things) but all that's pretty much irrelevant in this case, unless the thing escaped from some kind of lab Blacksheep style

Yep, we haven't stopped eveolving at all. Some of us aren't born with wisdom teeth at all and are therefore a slight evolution to those born with them (I've got mine somewhere). No doubt the apendix will eventually completely disappear etc. but I dunno if we'll make it long enough as a race for anything really different to pop up, like a self wiping @rse or non drip pen1s

I'd go with 'consciousness' rather than 'soul' but yeah, can't be that far off direct input and output etc. already got simple bionic eyes being used.

^^ If you think of the human body as disosable (assuming you can move the soul / consciousness at will) then we'll just move that into a robot, dispose of the weak body & upgrade parts as as we go. The human race will never die & will be able to travel light years to other planets etc. Scary thought though

TX.

After a certain point we literally won't be what was defined as humans anyway so we will kind of die out in a way, by changing into something totally different in a conventionally conceivable way, I suppose. For example, sexual orientation and preferences will be totally irrellevant at some point as we might not have the bits!
Totally agree with you, although I kind of like the sound of the downloadable consciousness and interchangable parts, it is as you say, a scary thought!

p.s. teh Transmetropolitan graphic novels cover all this stuff so well, great stuff if you like that sorta thing

When they have achieved World Government we will be living a totalitarian existence in a police state all with allocated jobs to do and cameras trained on us everywhere. We will only be allowed to move within defined areas and everything we say will be monitored.

When we reach a defined age where our work capability is reduced we will be taken off to a "happy room" where we will forget everything and know no more before ultimate disposal!

Now that is something to look forward to-no need to even think any more! How relaxing is that?

Les
