It snowed a little here on Friday, but not much. It was all very clear here all day yesterday. But on leaving a friend's house about 7PM-sh, it came down furiously without any warning! I tried to get out of that hilly village with narrow roads and valleys, but got lost All roads covered with thick snow looked identical. I had to use satnav on the route that I know inside out. Then my A4 got stuck in the snow. I managed to push it out, but I was still quite apprehensive with the thought of being stuck all night on those deserted roads. Every time I put my foot on the brake, the car went all over the place, everytime I halted, it wouldn't move again. Keeping myself focused, I kept pushing it. "Its gonna be all right, just keep going" was the talk with myself while steering the car with hardly any visibility on hazardous roads. I kept the car going on 5 to 10 MPH max, and eventally got home, phew! Ten minute journey became an hour and a half. What a nightmare! Still snowing here. ******* sick to death of it! I have now decided that the A4 perform worse that scoobies on the snow.

Had a similar probelm with my A4 - but it's really the tyres that matter. I REALLY need some proper Winter tyres and not these polishing cloths I have on at the moment.

Work is pretty clear, home is not, the snow ploughs appeared to have cut off some locations, and loads of abandoned cars are still parked up pmsl.

The entrance to my estate is via a steepish bank, and the top of it is full of parked up cars from residents who did not dare take on the bank of death

The MG has had no trouble at all tbh, i have to drive down the bank, and then U turn back up a bank to get into the car park, and i have managed it quite easy tbh, IIRC the car comes with equal length driveshafts to help with torque steer, so its no doubt helping matters, but the big 18" wheels with crap fullrun tyres cant be helping things at all, suprised its drivable at all, never mind driving quite well

Been snowing here for 4 hours!

This isn't the worst this week, however, Thursday and Friday are to be really bad - extremely heavy snow!!

Get ready - here we go again!

Likewise in High Wycombe - all day on and off, nothing settling.

Be interesting when it gets colder later on this week.
