As for scoobs getting broken after hard use, i've been into cars on track and road for a good few years now (not as many as some on here though *snigger*
) n the main thing i'd say is it doesn't matter what you drive whether it's a scoob, a bmw, a datsun or a ferrari, when you give it abuse and push it hard it WILL break something. It's just a question of what it costs to fix but cost of course is always relative

I heard there is one. He's called 2 litre GTI Turbo Diesel Injection SRI I think.

First you need to carry out the basic standard modifications to even attempt the handbrake nail combo into the corner manouvre, otherwise you may die. You need Halfords chrome effect tail pipe fitted. Sport mats - front and rear. Kenwood Stereo. Lockable dust caps and keyring.

No, you should only need 296-297bhps.

one method i have found works good on a scoob is the braking drift.
Go into the corner a little bit hot and back off the throttle then turn in and immediately as you turn in give it a good dab of the brake pedal.if your rear brakes are working ok it should incite the rear to start sliding as the weight shift transfers all the weight forward.as soon as you feel it start to slide get back on the throttle and control.just remember that being 4wd if you countersteer too much with the throttle on the car will straighten up.in a scoob its not really a drift in the normal sense of the word its more a 4wd powerslide.
this method also works in a fwd car and can make the rear end brake traction and a great way to counteract the inevitable understeer you get with fwd although obviously its more of a dynamic drift in that you cannot use power to continue the drift as you have no drive to the rear wheels.

Ideally you need a high powered rear wheel drive car.Thats why Nissans are used a lot.You don't use the handbrake,just chuck it into the corner hard at the same time as nailing the throttle to get the back end to step out then feather the throttle and control the steering wheel to keep the drift going. 
Managed to grab a last minute place for a car control day at North Weald with Andy Walsh this Friday and decided to take the Subaru...
just so I know what NOT to do
