FlashForward
Only saw the last couple of moments of one of the episodes. Decided to buy the book at the weekend and it's an interesting read so far, but I know the show is different (FBI vs Scientists looking into the flashforward, different characters, different time between current date and the flash forward - six months in the show, 20 or 30 years in the book).
just had my flashforward..
in 6 months time I'm sitting on the sofa watching episode 22 and thinking why the hell did I waste 22 hours of my life on this when its just getting more and more confusing aka Lost...

It is very good although it needs forgiving for its "Theres a problem - The crazy doctor made/experimented with said problem - fixes problem - add a further twist to the ongoing plot"
Which is about as complicated as the episodes get. Its still good though.
Watched 1 and 2 of FlashForward. I like it and it reminds me of 4400 which was also good but lost its way very quickly. I never watched Lost so can't comment on the similarities.
I'll keep watching but lets hope it doesn't wander off the storyline too much.
Not Sci Fi as such but Lie to Me is back on too which is very good. My Own Worst Enemy is also good.

I do recall seeing a few episodes of 4400, was a little odd.
Still not got round to seeing all of the current FF episodes, might do it one day, or wait until season one is over and then watch it. I am curious, having finished the book, to see where the show will go with the plot.
I've just started on Fringe season 1, up to, I think, episode four, rather good, and interested to see how it gets to what I've seen in the season finale.

Anyone still watching this?
SPOILERS
Last nights episode was the first time I started to question the plot.
1) if the flashforwards are "optional" whats the point of the story?
2) going to the blue hand club for those with no flashforward - surely the guy who pulls the trigger first you wouldn't let in - if they are that willing to pull the trigger, they must have had a flashforward. Plus how come all those in the blue hand all decided to become S&M fruitcakes due to no flashforward - again surely those that DID have a flashforward would push the boundaries - except now we know they aren't set it stone.

Agree, that's the last episode I watch. I had high hopes for the series, but it is just nonsense.
The main character whose flash forward is sort of guiding the events, is a total rem and has no substance, why should the viewer care if he is a recovering alcoholic for a start? I understand they are using his clues to recreate the investigation, but now that they have shown (as above) this is subject to change it all seems pointless.
Committing suicide because you want to save some woman you have only just met? just not realistic.
In fact, non of the main characters seem to have any real reason to be there, the only interesting thing at the minute is the scientist guy from Lost and the guy with the autistic son, every thing else just seems to be irrelevant fillers and seen as this is going on for 25 episodes seems a long drawn out affair.

The book by Robert J. Sawyer is actually quite good.
