I've had my WRX about 4 months and use it every day for inner london commuting - 8 miles per day each way in very slow traffic but still enjoyable. I've got 2 weeks off from Friday and I'm desperate to get it to Wales to my parents place to gun it around those valleys.

Last Friday I had to dash to Hythe from Brands Hatch to get a bit of motorbike fix, enjoyed every minute of the drive, both the A roads and M-way

I enjoy driving my scoob literally every time I get in ... yesterday was a good example cruising up the A1 to Worksop from North London and back. Nice sunny day, car humming with the SS BB and then some nice backroads to finish the journey off (which I know well and so had a little fun ). The highlight of the day was coming home, stealthing down the A1 - there is a 5 mile stretch of 30mph as there is roadworks, had a knocker right up my rear trying to push me along in a Saab 9-5 Aero ... anyway, when the roadworks ended I nailed down the empty dual-carriageway and left him for dead . About 10 seconds after backing off he flew past doing some stupid speed looking all pissed off

When I worked in dudey I soon got bored of the normal 20 minute ride up the M6, down the M40, etc..

I soon managed to get a 1 hour journey to and from work every day, all along the back roads in the north of birmingham!

fantastic!

Ian,
Probably even more now you've got a decent back-box and see where you're going

Every night when I get home I think "what excuse can I come up with to go out again before I put Scooby away for the night" I'm always going out to far away shops for things I don't need.

Had to go to New York for 10 days last year. I pined, whinged and whined. When I got back I was too jet-lagged to drive. Made up for it as soon as I could though.

Please bear in mind, we're only talking a sport here. What will I do when I upgrade to a turbo?

I got back from a few months away - from the airport, took a taxi to my garage and took the Scoob out for about 3 hours - I knew I'd missed it but didn't realise exactly how much!!

Then this morning, up the A31 with a Dodge Viper and two 911's for about 20 minutes....... I could go on and on but I'm sure you all have plenty of similar stories.

Thats why we put up with the extortionate petrol costs, insurance and the recent threat of car-jacking etc etc etc

Ben (still a VERY satisfied Scoob owner)

Yesterday and Monday, on a road (don't know the number) from Taunton to Tiverton via Wiveliscombe and Bampton, absolutely brilliant, can't see how I'll ever need any more than this UK MY00 PPP and DEP.

Cheers

The A272 is a great road. It's even had books written about it.

Don't forget the A32 as well - a kick *** road on summer eves!

My car's a pain in the 4rse for 20 minutes until it's warmed up, then I seem to spend the rest of the journey laughing...
The last time that happened was when I had an R1.....

Cool

Every day, about 100mls a day on lanes, A roads, B roads and boring motorway...but when they get out of my way, BOOOOOST

I have even got up earlier to try to beat 'em but they are still there!!! They must stay up all night driving 'round at 38mph slowing down all the traffic, I even thought about going to work at 2 in the morning, but no one would be there!

I think my paranoid problem is coming back, I wonder if they are on here clocking the Scoobys so they can get in their way...mmm
I wonder (?)

MD. (slowed by the 38mph club)

My MY99 has been under constant evolution.
Each phase brings another level of pleasure.
Now , in the country of V8's and macho machines OZ ,you really have to put some dough into upgrades to get some street cred .- not poncy GTi's and all these other hair dresser ****e that WRX's have to contend with in the UK.
Some times it really makes me laugh when members talk about saving a few bob by driving like a granny- c'mon boys ( Women should be shagged in them not drive 'em ) F*** the fuel F*** the cost of upgrades - push the evelope.
The biggest laugh are the plonkers who won't change even an air filter in fear of losing their warranty!Bollocks !!!!
Isin't that the reason you bought a WRX ? To break the rules?
