LOL @ my attitude problems.

You believe whatever you wish about your car and the power its kicking out. I'm sure when IF you come to Scooby Shoot Out your times will speak for themselves and it will be you that look like a pair of *****.

What's the betting you don't turn up??

Anyway, Its true what they say, you can't argue with idiots they will bring you down to their level everytime.

You've managed to bring me down to your level. I'll leave it at that.

No need, I trust people like Steven Darley and Lateral Performance that have run the GT35/42 on their cars and made around 600bhp with methanol/race fuel.

@banny. That tells us nothing except that they're obviously not as good as Ai Autosport or RCM

You even said to me last night that if ones on scoobynet couldn't grasp something they tell you it can't be done. You have been on the receiving end of them so you should know. Yet for some reason you think you're an authority on it.

In fact you're all the same. You all think that you know better when none of you, not one, have seen the car, had anything to do with the engine, or know the exact setup.

How exactly do you think that that gives you the right to state what can or can't be done?

You all just have a problem that this has been done by a private person rather than a big sponsor

As stated before, if RCM had done this there wouldn't be any argument.

I wouldn't waste Olly's time with this trivial BS.

Turn up and prove us ALL wrong or STFU it really is that simple.

It's obviously not so trivial to you as you've got so worked up about telling us we're wrong.

And we've just bought a 6 speed

I'm not worked up at all. I'm just amused by how defensive you both are over your inflated Dyno run figures.

Just about everyone that has come on this thread has questioned your claims. But hey you're correct and we're all talking rubbish if that makes you happy.

At the risk of repeating myself I just look forward to seeing this run. Against cars that do actually have that power albeit with bigger turbos Let's leave it there shall we?

Congratulations on the purchase of a six speed though. I would say that's probably an end to your transmission woes

What a read is right. Some very interesting information here that's for sure.

I can't wait to see the car run at BC next month Neil/Lisa. Should be a good day.

Well hello again.

Is that the best you could come up with?

I sent you a PM asking for your real name and a reason for the problem you have with me, as you obviously know me and Neil. You didn't respond to this PM.

I'm not even going to get drawn into a stupid argument about this.

It's different people on the mainland slagging us off via the internet as they have no oppurtunity to speak to us face to face. But you have every oppurtunity to do this. You are nothing but a keyboard warrior. A real hard man online but when asked by a girl to reveal your identity you choose to ask if i am ******** Johnny. lol. That is very childish.

You obviously have a problem with me/Neil. Would you like to meet up and discuss said problem? You could at least give me a reason for your pointless abuse.

Don't be silly and make this of a personal nature. This is about you talking complete bollocks about your car. Nothing more.

btw I'd look up the definition of hubris if I were you. It makes alot more sense when you actually know what it means and brings a whole new relevance to what you're claiming.

Neil, I run a 6 spd my 1/4 mile PB is 11.6 but I need to hook 5th before the end of the 1/4 because of the lower gear ratios which I believe costs me around 0.3 secs. The lower gear ratios may be something to consider as your graph shows 200 more ponies than mine. I'm sure for my setup PPG would be the way to go.

Thread is now closed as we've bought the gearbox. We have received nothing but abuse since we revealed what power the car is putting out.

We won't be posting anymore on this.

good read, at the end of the day everyone goes about things slighty diffently and no 2 cars are the same. who actually cares if these claims are true or not?? this thread was about gearboxes and after the slagging match ive learnt that 6 speed boxes are the ones to go for. where is a good place to pick one up?? roughly how much are they and will they fit a v1-v2 classic wrx??

it always amazes me why people have to kick off on internet forums, whats the point??

You can look in the for sale section or from a breakers, uk boxes have a longer 5th and 6th gear over JDM cars, you will probably need a normal (none dccd) box and the rear diff, should set you back between 2-2.5k (new is pushing 6k)

As for the rest, well 440cc injectors wont go above 350bhp(ish) no matter how much pressure there is there, rolling roads need to be calibrated (or can be adjusted) so figures can be unrealistic, so the issue is was Neil lied to about the rolling road figures to keep him sweet? or does he need to go to another (independend rolling road, preferably with other scoobs that have run on that one as an indication of how good it is from their last run) to get better figures.
But if it drives well then figures dont really mean much anyway, its down to the mapper and builder on how well the engine stays together.

Tony

How is this thread closed, do you have moderator status?

Aside from the arguments, I gleaned some interesting info on 6 speed boxes.
