NoS do an Octane booster. It comes in 3point or 7 point bottles, therefore pushing 98ron petrol up to 101 for the 3 point etc. It worked wonders in the Focus so thought i'd give it a go in the Scoob.

7:45 on a sunday! we must be mad. I will be there.

Octane boosters don't actually give that much gain. went through all this when i got my first import. There's been a few threads on it. But better to add it to be on the safe side. i always used a bottle per tank. Good for extra flames

Cheers for the heads up mate, am suprised it doesn't make too much difference as would have thought with the Japs running the higher octane over there it would be up to their ratings.

Ahh well, still a bit of fun and can say i'm running a NoS product

I'd like to add that the header tank contained no coolant needing a litre to bring it back upto level, sludge around the cap and neck of the tank and a dark tinged expansion bottle.

Yeah I can see why zak thinks the gasket is going but I hope its just where I mixed to coolents which made everything go a funny colour, fingers crossed I'm doing the coolent change in a min.

Thanks zak for not mapping it as if it went bang that would be worse yop man for the heads up

another quality local day out, lots of nice cars. Them veedub crew certainly now how to slam their cars! Some of them were literally an inch from the floor

Anyway the RWYB, i managed to beat my best last time out my fastest run was 13.71 @ 98mph which im quite pleased about. Still didnt break the 100mph barrier, maybe next time hey? (after a sneaky remap!)

Darc was in the 12's again but couldnt seem to go quicker than last time, i think he hit 12.6 twice although there was a very strong headwind that probably didnt help

Here a few camera pic phones
