Wow! The 'British' guy has ACTUALLY WON :D
sick of listening to scots on the tv saying murray will win, the media hype etc. now you scots have become what you complain about most. the irony is magnificent.

*if* he wins all you need to do is get the press to hark on about it for the next 40 years and i will die a happy man.

That's the beauty. There was another thread on here last night, way better than this one
where she was made reference to a few times.
At one point she was jumping up and down after a pont, and my God I was praying so hard for them to pop out! They almost did too.

Have you noticed how Murray is always on last? I believe this is so the Scots in the crowd don't have to face the midday sun which could lead to several suffering 3rd degree burns.
I take it you don't like Murray then Les?

As for Stan " being in his class " sorry you're wrong. Murray has a winning record over Federer, the greatest tennis player in history. That's the level Murray is at. A win for Stan yesterday would have been his best result of the year. He's lost to Nadal, Del Potro, Roddick, Berdych in 2009. Murray has already beaten most of them this year, and is in a different class to him.
Last night he came up against a guy who went for broke and had one of those days were it all came off. Fair play to him.
Yet Murray still won.

An Englishmen enjoys his breakfast of toast and MARMALADE invented by Mrs. Keiller of Dundee, Scotland- reaches for his RAINCOAT patented by Charles MacIntosh of Glasgow, Scotaland, to dash of to the station on his BICYCLE invented by Kirpatrick MacMillian blacksmith of Dumfries, Scotland, whose TYRES invented by John Boyd Dunlop of Dreghorn, Scotland run on a TARMAC ROAD invented by John MacAdam of Ayr, Scotland.
The Journey by train whose STEAM ENGINE was invented by James Watt of Greenock, Scotland takes him to work at the BANK OF ENGLAND founded by William Patterson of Dumfries, Scotland. While opening his mail whose ADHESIVE STAMPS were invented by James Chalmers of Dundee, Scotland he puffs on a CIGARETTE first manufactured by Robert Gloag of Perth, Scotland.
He later rings his wife on the TELEPHONE invented by Alexander Graham Bell of Edinburgh, Scotland. She tells him that dinner will be his favorite, ROAST BEEF - Aberdeen Angus, raised in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
He arrives home to find his daughter watching TELEVISION invented by John Logie Baird of Helensburgh, Scotland, a programme on the US NAVY founded by John Paul Jones of Kirkbean, Scotland and his son reading TREASURE ISLAND written by Robert Louis Stevenson of Endinburgh, Scotland and on lifting THE BIBLE he finds that the first named mentioned is a Scot - King James VI who authorized its translation. The Englishman is unable to turn from the ingenuity of the Scots. He could turn to WHISKY but Scotland supplies the best or to end it all he could put his head in a gas ove - COAL GAS discovered by William Murdoch of Ayr, Scotland. He could shoot himself with his BREACH LOADING RIFLE invented by Captain Pat Ferguson of Pitfours, Scotland. If unsuccesful he could be injected with PENICILIN discovered by Alexander Flemming of Darvel, Scotland or given an ANAESTHETIC invented by Sir James Young Simpson of Bathgate, Scotland.

Fell: to knock, strike, shoot, or cut down; cause to fall: to fell a moose; to fell a tree.

This is what the BBCs own live text service said about this...
Murray 2-6 6-3 6-3 *4-4 Wawrinka
Tremendous slow-mo camera shot of a Swiss lady jumping up and down there, not sure the editor really gave that enough thought to be honest.

Where did I say I don't like him? I purely said how I saw it, Wawrinka had him well and truly on the back foot for a large part of the match, and I think he was lucky to win at the end. It is not often he finds a player who can give him back as good as he hands out. Wawrinka played very well as Murray was quick to say himself. Yes Murray is in a class of his own as a rule, but he was not last night.
