Dunno what Adrian's sorting, I don't know if he is able to offer a nationwide discount or if its just where he works??

I've been contacted my Navtrak this afternoon, the Marketing Manager is going to get back to me with an answer on what deal they can offer us, but he's not back in the office until Monday 11th.

The more the numbers go up though the more likely a better deal can be offered!

Once I get details I'll post them, then its up to you to contact them directly to arrange fitting at your local dealer.

John

Hi everyone
back in office now had have spoken to rac trackstar the best deal we can offer on there system is the active system which rrp at £699 we have managed to get the price down to £525 fitted if lifetime fees payed they will lower the price by £25 the life time fee is £325 so a possable total price of £825. As we understand the offers on hp terms are with rac trackstar themselves so we can not help on this side of things.
We will offer most of the uk onsite fitting at home or work. we will install to any type of car. Again we are going to have to do group buys of 10 as before if more people order we will try and get more discount and pass it on.
my office number is 07770402111

cheers Adrian

I haven't read through the thread and already have a tracker. I am however confused as to why people who own Scoobs and other performance cars haven't already got a tracking device fitted. FFS it costs less than an exhaust system and offers a degree of reassurance that if the worst case scenario occurs the car/scum may be found.

I know Navtrak wanted some numbers on who was interested, kinda getting confused now who's after what, are the replies for AJF's deal or are they potentially for Navtrak?

Personally I don't care as long as its the best deal on the best system.

Personally I'd be up for either so far though 300 notes for a proactive tracker looks like a bargain, but I'd be keen to see what navtrak can do, though the Navtrak tracking is nearly double the price of tracker £180pa vs £99. Prices/subscriptions being equal I'd probably go for navtrak for the extra features and potentially better tracking...

Adrian....

Am definately interested, can't mail you as your e-mail is not in your profile

When will you know if we can get the group price?

Also how busy are you, i.e. are we looking at a long waiting list to get it fitted?

Lastly; what is the yearly subscription, if we are not taking the "lifetime" option?

I am up for this as my insurance company DL is demanding a Tracker. Most other companies I have checked are charging £300 more without the tracker. No real discounts for having a Tracker just the ability to insure you.

I am interested in the Retreive or Monitor.

Q. Will the Retreive soon be none insurance friendly as it takes a phone call from the owner to establish the car has been stolen. If you are abroad at the time it may take 2 weeks for you to notify Tracker that the car has been stolen. Plenty of time to remove it and do a Paul Danials vanishing trick with the car.
While the Monitor watches the cars position as does not require a phone call from the owner to report its stolen.

Also am I correct in saying the Retreive is £99/yr and the Monitor £125/yr.

More info found on

Cheers

Note that RAC members get a discount on trackstar. Savings not so great for RAC members but still a bit cheaper.

Whether you go for tracker retrieve or monitor, they are still £99/ annum or £300 for life.

I was enquiring with Tesco's concerning the acceptabilitty of tracker retrieve in years to come & the underwriters' comments were: as long as it stays Thatcham Cat Q approved, it will still be recognised as our list of trackers.

Hope this helps

Bob

Neal m8 i do believe the monitor doesn't so much watch yer car & it's location rather just detects any unauthorised movement without the alarm/imobiliser having already been disabled. So any movement without the imobiliser etc having been turned off & the tracker should, all things going well, let them know that sumin is pair shaped. Tracker then contact you to check the story. Horizon is the 1 with the satellite where they can actually see yer location rather than track it down with radio signals but i was advised that is only really necessary if yer driving out the country?
It's all good anyhow
Good luck then peaps.
Si

Hi Guys

Cheers for all the info.

Adrian

My work m8 is definately interested in a Tracker but wont be back in the country until 18th March. So I am unable to confirm the system that he requires. I will contact you by mail once he confirms.

Cheers

I'm interested too ... just need to work out which one I want ... ideally I need a system where I get phoned when there's an unauthorised movement of my car.
