If you want to make friends you need to take an interest in people. If you don't take in what they have to say and ask questions to find out what makes them tick, you won't make any impression, and you'll no doubt be instantly forgotton.

I'm not sure what the point of this thread is. Do you want genuine advice? Have you maybe lost touch with how to interact with people due to something that has happened in your life?

It was a genuine post as i dont seem to meet the right people. I work in an all male environment but admittedly dont socialise with them.

But im not one for pubbing/clubbing to meet people as i think you tend to meet 'the wrong people'. Or thats the impression i get from the odd time i have done that.

I suppose the club or sport thing is worth a try. Maybe i need to get out more My life is work work work at the moment.
