I didn't realise they did a 2.0l S Mk1
My first car back in 1982 was going to be a 1973 1.6GT XLR Capri, it was stolen a day or two before i was due to collect it.
I miss my A series Opel Manta 1.9SR, not that quick but different and more stylish that the Escorts and minis mates where running around in. I would love another one

this is my old one i owned it about 1983 it is a 3.0 litre v6 gt xlr in blue with a black vinyl roof it was a minter,sorry about the picture it's the only one i have

Looks like you've just dug that photo out of a hole in your garden. Reminds me of one of those mummified ancient bodies they find buried in peat bogs. In a few thousand years someone might find your perfectly preserved Capri hidden down there. Still not sure if the wing mounted mirrors and chrome-effect wheelarch trim will be back in fashion by then though.

I bought a Mark 1 when I was 17 (paid £120) - off an old chap on the Birmingham New Road.
Never had the time or money to finish
