Didn't realise that there was so much difference in the inlet manifolds, with/without the TGV's. Good find from what you mentioned above.
I'm lazy, so, with your fueling, did you convert to paralell rails, reverse the flow, or leave the flow alone and just fit the reg an up the pressure a bit?
I should be receiving a Fuelab reg at some point, won it at the SSO, and a little unsure how it will all fit together/what's needed to fit.
Any chance you can stick some pics up of your fitting arrangement, and what was needed to fit it?
Cheers,
Micky.

At the mo there is just a set of 740cc Lateral Performance modified injectors on there and the reg.
However i have a whole new setup for the new motor inc a fully converted paralell rail setup.
Its pretty straight forward mate, will post some diagrams when i can

Lol, cheers Kev, im currently grinding bits off of the inlet .... what a sh1te job that is. Hopefully It will give it a smooth look.
Just gotta decide which colour to do it.
Crinkle red? Like OEM?
Crinkle black?
Gloss red?
Gloss black?
Metalic black?
Metalic red?
Or any other paint/powdercoat?
Its gonna be in here, all my hoses are black, fuel reg is black... probably going to paint/powdercoat the APS kit the same as the inlet manifold whichever i decide to do. Or i might lose the APS kit altogether and make a custom one up?
Any thoughts as to colours?

Truth be known i like the red, so i think i'll go with that. Might do the APS in black though.... dunno yet.
Heres what 4 hours with a die grinder on a manifold looks like.
Absolutely **** job to do. Its messy and awkward. Ive removed a few lugs that i wont need and have removed practically every casting mark i can get to. I also cleaned the sharp edges where the manifold runners are cast. This will provide a smooth area for the inlet hose to run along.
Now for some bead blasting, Nitro Moors and then a fresh coat of paint

keep it red to match the APS intake, drop Carl Davy a mail, he refurbishes IM's so he should be able to tell you where you can source paint from. cutting stuff off the IM is fun

Got a bit more done today guys.
I managed to bead blast the manifold so it nows has an even finish all over. I oil stoned all the machined faces too so they are all flat and true.
It was then re-washed and masked up for some paint.
Im looking to get it looking as close to original as possible so i took the time to mask all the machined faces apart from some which i think would look better painted. It then got a light coat of etch primer and a light dusting of red basecoat. This should provide a good base for the crinkle red finish.
I'll leave it to dry for a day or so now before i put on the wrinkle finish top coat
