Am I right in thinking there are no camera's in the tunnels? Is there any danger of being caught doing illegal things?

 

ok lets get this into context THERE IS EVERY CHANCE OF BEING CAUGHT however people did break the tunnel "rules" last time and to my knowledge nothing came of it. basically it is a 40 mph limit, you have to stay in lane, no headlights on full beam, there are cameras (however not speed). all of these rules were broken last time but that does not mean to say its going to be like that every time.there is a tunnel police office on the entrance and exit so if you were to say treat is as an f1 warm up lap you are going to get pulled at the other end, but if you fancy takin the risk that they are eating donuts then thats your call. something to consider though is if we want this to be a regular thing (increasing in numbers each time) then if we take the **** then they will just wait for the return journey and spoil the party.

I agree! I wasnt going to take the ****, I'll just cruise in 2nd doing 40mph. The fun in the event for me is meeting up with like minded people to have a chat and a bit of a run out.

last time most people were pretty much slowing down to say 25-30 and accelarating to about 50 (ahem i mean 40 officer! )changing lanes is probably the biggest concern cos your bang to rights. i did it and regretted it last time, was just waiting for that letter through the post. oh yeh and windows open is a must

 

we need tu go through tunnell one either side and stay in lane

 

yeh and try not to let anyone in between us.

Another question!!

How are we all gonna get through the tolls togethor and get us all down the tunnels together? Obviously we need to take up as many lanes as possible goes through the booth's but is it possible to pull over and wait for those who havent paid yet? Surely the police will move you on?

Any thoughts?
