Good job the Trophy is still safely where it belongs, as it's also the last day of the season.

Jenson on Pole as well , do you think we could find a pub with the race on?

I'm betting most pubs in Brighton will let you watch the Grand Prix, as you'll be walking around in pink shirts - you might have to go into a 'private' room to watch.........................

DIRECTIONS LINKED TO MAPS

Map 1. Leave PP services heading south towards Brighton ( A23 )

Map 2. Leave the A23 at the Hickstead showjumping exit, driving over the A23 into a village called Sayers Common ( B2118 )

Map 3. Continue on the B2118 entering the village of Albourne

Drive through Albourne until you reach the T junction with the B2117

Turn right onto the B2117

Take next left onto A281

Map 4. Continue down A281 for about a mile when you should reach a mini roundabout

Over mini roundabout onto Saddlescombe Road...

This is the road that then takes you over Devils Dyke!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Map 5. After the fun part you will arrive at a roundabout for the A27 go straight over it

At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit = A2038 (King George VI Avenue)

Down the hill 2nd Left onto A2023 (Nevill Road)

Map 6. Follow this road to the sea (Nevill Road becomes Sackville Road which becomes Hove Street)

At the end, turn left onto A259 (Kingsway)

Map 7. Turn left into Cannon Place

Then park in the 2nd car park up the hill on the right

When in car park head straight on and await instructions

Lovely day, cracking weather, excellent fish and chips, great company (well except Mr Cue of course )
Cheers Chris for suggesting it again, even if I did miss the GP and last games of the season.

Well, what can we add....................we had a fab day!

Firstly thanks Milamber for organising this - it was a great day out (did you pre book the weather with him upstairs?)

It was great to meet some more of the ESC & their other halves, and also some of the Sussex Scoobs - in particular Mark & Gary (Glitter? Unique paint job! )

Total respect to 'mad Kel' & Mark, for providing some class entertainment!

Also Mark please be VERY careful when selecting which photos you post......unless you like living dangerously!!

We would also like to add how refreshing it was to go out with a group of people, where , without exception, every child was pleasant, polite & well behaved - each & every one of them were a credit to their parents (even Supercue behaved! )

Thanks again,

Hils, Simon & Coz
