All I'm saying is, the scoob has much better traction, at low speeds, exiting corners etc, especially in the wet, you can get on the power sooner, the sort of conditions the focus would struggle.

Indeed, it's not just about 0-60. e.g. I have 343ft lbs torque, I can put all of that down in second gear, sunshine or rain. The ST is on an electronic leash (torque limited) in the first two gears if I understand it correctly, that'll make a difference. Also, not that I'm into this sort of thing, but it's my observation that most "contests" on the road are often settled by 3rd gear, as the speeds beyond that take you into license losing territory.

Not my bag though!

Remap sorts the torque limiters

In the wet, awd may have a small advantage, but why would you want to be pushing on when it's wet to such an extent that you would see a tangible difference?
