Thanks for all the pic's guy's!!

A couple of the choice's I have at the mo are:

TH 1780 Comps at 8x17 ET50 (nice wheels but bit worried about the weight)

Revolution Milleniium's 7.5x17 ET48 (will this size and offset give a arch flush look?)

Looking at all your pic's, I think a 8x17 wheels with an offset of ET35 looks great but I really want to avoid arch mods or keep them to a bare minimum, also the car is only ever going to run springs and dampers as it's used as a kid taxi most days!

My question is If I go for a 8x17 setup, what would be the ideal ET offset to get the wheels bang flush with the arches or sticking out minimally??

Again, I'm only going down this route as the ST2's I have on a the mo are look like they are set too far into the archs at the rear looking really bad IMO.

Would ET48 give me the look I'm after??

Many thanks for all your help guy's!

Been offered these from DemonTweeks at £500 for the set inc vat in 8x17 ET48, Does anyone have these on or know if they are good quality light wheel??

Just have some 18's - the difference ain't huge. Infact, when i made the change, the only difference was a slightly firmer ride

Mine are ET 50 - not really struck on the ones that come out past the arch TBH.

Don't tempt me Brun!

I had Prodrive PWRC1's in 18" on my old scoob and that was a type R, ride was definatly firmer but not unbearable by any means.

Was dead set on 8x18" Revolution Milleniums initially but have been steered towards sitcking with 17"'s with a 45 profile tyre to minimise the tramlining you get with 18"'s sometimes and also give a less harsher ride based on the car being used daily.

Also factored in the tyes cost aswell to keep things on budget.

Do you have any pics of yours matey??

T5 that sounds spot on and I definatly like the way yours look, don't suppose you have a picture of the car looking down along the side?

Thanks for all the help guy's... really want to get these on now, just need to make up my mind which to go for!

This seems to be the age old question when choosing wheels for a gc8 17 or 18 what width ,what offset etc etc

Ive always known what wheels I'm going to settle for ( in some cases Ive brought the wheels even before buying the car ! ) but I'm still unsure of wheel choice or fitment to be honest ??
