Personally i'm a fan of the A82 to Fort William. Takes you through some spectacular scenery. Best to go outside the regular season though, full of caravans and campers (RVs??) in summer!

think that's pretty much the same all over tbh - some of the roads round my way look more like something out of feckin Beirut than anything else! Makes ya wonder where all the road tax money goes sometimes

This is a spirited drive around my way, and that of many others I would imagine.

I'd give up driving every B road in the UK to live in California!
You have everything! Beaches, mountains, lakes, cities, hot weather, skiing weather.... It's just not fair!

I'm sure all Americans think we live in Stately homes and have butlers! And if not, why are we always depicted like that and talking like we've got plums in our mouths!? (I'm from Essex, so definitely not lol!)

Lovely video - i presume from Horton(ish) to Ribblehead and back (although i didn't recognise the start). Driven many times in a couple of different Scoobies, a R5GTt, Frontera Sport, Xr3i etc over the (many) years. Indeed i have walked from Ribblehead to Selside (after consuming a pint or twelve of Theaksons Old Peculiar at Chapel-le-Dale).

If you do come to the UK, (note UK, not England as most Americans think it's called!) don't just go to London and visit all the touristy bits, or Stratford-upon-Avon, Windsor Castle etc. Come and visit some proper places.

I have never been a big fan of tourist traps and things like that anyway, I like to get to see some real parts of a country.
Unfortunately it's true that a big majority of American's do believe in all the stereo type's about other cultures
But not all of us!!!

What do you think would be some good proper places to visit. I do plan on making a trip over there at some point in my life to check things out.

Apparently we seceded Passports are being issued as we speak.
The Peaks are stunning this is true, and there are some GREAT driving roads nearby
For someone coming over from the West Coast frankly you'll be gob-smacked at anywhere you drive, and the ALL the roads really ARE that narrow
Who's going to explain rounabouts?
