i think that wide arched look only really works if it is sat on the ground - ie true race car style. Not practical for the road IMO.

Have a chat to Daren at ABW re costs - he will sort you out

Lots more pics later

Lots of weight has come out of the car Zak and lots more to come too. Don't think I can get it down to 1200 kgs though and still use it everyday

Thanks everyone.

Yes there will be a splitter similar to before - the carbon strip there is just to tidy the front up for the road. There will be something a little more aggressive for the track

This arrived yesterday while I was out:

It's a bit strange wearing it so will take some getting used to i think.

Also, the nice towing eyes that Mike B got made:

These are incredibly lightweight and really nicely finished. Got one for front and rear.

Duncan,
I'm not a huge fan of "Carlos Fandango" bodykits, but that looks really nice mate! Try not to wrap this one in to the Armco!

Got to say that is awesome! I would be scared of driving it round the block, let alone time attack

Best of luck

You may of said already, but what weight do you think you will realistically get down to?

Dunno Shaun. As std it is 1495kgs. In fighting trim at the end of last year it was 1411 with the cage in it...

I reckon - 1350 is realistic and possibly 1300 if I get really brutal with it. trouble is I don't want to spoil it as a road car - it is too much fun to drive to miss that

Well.... my Spec C weighed in at 1340kgs (fully fuelled) with stripped interior, but with (extra weight items over OE) the high level spoiler, 6pots, 18" wheels, whiteline kit. I never weighed it once all the extra ancillary bits had been put in (for the new engine) and have certainly not weighed it since the interior has gone back in with the new engine and ancillaries.

I would say 1350kg's should be achievable in your car, but I suspect that would require some brutality itself.

The original 1350kg's for a Spec C is with lightened glass, roof and boot lid and low level or NO level spolier together with no sound deadening, aircon or electric windows. The interior panels (exc. the front seats) don't weigh that much.

Good luck!
