still have an issue from mr badger. . not sure I have time to sort it.. boost leak somewhere. have pressure tested fmic, have checked rest of pipework, have checked headers and uppipe and downpipe and can find nothing wrong.. have some new jubilee murry clamps coming and another samco hose..
Not sure there will be much point running it at marham this weekend without sorting the leak.
sorted it.. found some time today.. found a hole in a metal intercooler pipe.. only issue being the metal missing to form the hole may have gone through the engine..
but ignoring that for the minute there is no noise or issue with the engine and it is back running full boost and managing to spin the wheels again far to easily
Also been a tart and replaced the silver AVCR with a black one.. and engine build decisions made and block dropped off to be bored and altered etc..
there are 3 bolts in each side although that pic doesn't look like that.
The drill won't go in from the inside due to the bar.. haven't had time to drill it from wheel arch etc..
pins 2 and 4 on the maf plug for the air temp sensor I left you
Simon
Cheers mate will get it wired this week engine should be in next sunday
well excellent day at 30-130 Results I only did two runs as the car felt very unstable at speed with very strong head wind, and then wet track in ther afternoon.. wheel spinning up run way was fun!
Car was also weighed and I was pleased with 1229kgs with 1/2 a tank of fuel, still with rear seat and cage etc..
believe standard weight with fluids is 1350kgs.. I still have some bits to remove yet too.
Not sure how much of the unstabliness was due to wind or the lack of front splitter and centre bumper section.. both wheel arch liners took a battering at speed from the wind too.. also very obvious it is too low at the back I think so some fine tuning to sort before next on track / event.
How have you pressure tested the FMIC? I'm fairly sure i've got a hole in my fmic pipework on the drivers side where its been sitting/rubbing against the frame.
