Hi all, I'm a newbie and just read through most of the thread, all I can say is, M535I get your act together. The original supplier may have supplied poorly fitted mirrors, but your defently playing a game of your own.

I dont know if this forum has any mods etc..but they sure are sleeping!

Just thought I'd share my view.

suba dave is unhappy with one of his mirrors correct ?
i said ok send me yours and ill swap with mine of my own car out the goodness of my heart all h has to do is pay shipping £15.00 a mirror ,1 to come to me and a mirror to go back to him yet thats not good enough he wants me to pay !!! I don't think so ! .
that is the one and only option he has as that is all i can and am willing to do to help him .i don't care what anybody says about whose mirror is whose i fitted mine sent him his and he think i swapped a mirror over !! Yea i would drill and bond my mirrors on the rip on off and send it to europe .sorry what did i gain from this ! ?
as said above subadave has one choice is he chooses not to thats down to him . and remember he ill be sending me a prefitted mirror and ill be sending him a prefitted mirror sory am i the only one who doesnt think this makes any sense ....

First of all.. How do I know that I will get the mirror?? And second. I must pay for both shipping £30. Why could I pay for this?? Can anyone tell me why? Ok.. maybe I will get a mirror.. if not I have payed £30 for nothing + £115 for one mirror.

No. If you just send me your mirror I will pay shipping for mine to go to you. If that´s not ok .. you are gonna live with this and all members know how you dealed with this.

 

why pay 30 quid when the fitted mirror he sends will have the same holes ???

I've watched this GB from early on and to be honest I have had quite a bit of sympathy for M535I. But I don’t think you’re doing yourself any favours now though mate. Get the photo back up and everybody will be able to see the truth for themselves. If you don’t, the finger is naturally going to be pointing at you. People will think that you have in fact taken one of the mirrors that you have trial fitted to your car, damaged, and then sent on to SUBADAVE.

agree with this 100%, this one photo proves your innocence or your guilt. If Haroon has sent this out as you say there must be another member that has sent these back! now if thats the case wouldn't haroon have been causing as bigger fuss as Subadave, would anybody even try sending them back like this? I wouldn't even consider swapping my own mirror if it wasn't my fault, wether thats guilt for sending the mirror broken or you feel bad for the guy i don't know. From other threads/posts you come across as a decent guy and Haroon has a lot to answer for. Its the photo deleting thats brought you this problem so i would either prove its not your mirror by uploading the same picture or pay the £15 and send yours.

Just the way i see it after following this unfortunate thread.

its not a case of giving M535i ****, but threre is a question of wether he swopped a damaged mirror and sent it to someone, as well as deleting a photo of said mirror, LUCKO you are entitled to your opinion same as i am, and i will continue to voice it and if you dont like it tough

 

Cause if he has done what many people think then he has lost all credibility of the innocent party in this disaster.
Nothing wrong with newbies picking fault with supposed bastions of the community - it keeps them on their toes.

M535I - just post up the ORIGINAL missing picture. Its simple really.

 

What an unfortunate situation has arisen here.
On the one hand we have a guy claiming to have been sent faulty goods and on the other, a guy claiming his innocence.
It would appear that a photograph of the item was posted but later removed for some reason, hardly the action of an innocent man. However perhaps there is a plausible reason for the pictures removal. As both parties are so entrenched and unable to move forward from this present position.
Might it at all be possible for the present own of the mirror to agree to have this matter resolved by an independent adjudicator.
And like wise would the group buy organizer be prepared to do likewise.
Although many of you may find this thread entertaining it's hardly in the spirit of what Scoobynet was conceived for. It would be far better, for all if this matter could be resolved in private.
Everyone has the right to post there views on this forum and it would be a sorry day if that right was removed, however to take comments or to make comments and target them on a personal basis is far from helping to resolve this case.
Please do not take this out of context as these are only the thoughts of a person wishing to see a satisfactory conclusion to this matter.

No comment there that the mirror was scratched!

 

Mit you were blaming M535I because the mirrors took so long to turnup!

So who's to say your still not harbouring an issue when you got a short shrift response???

 

Another comment to say that he was happy with the quality of the mirror!

The scratch on the mirror that Dave has posted, doesnt look like any sort of parking or fitting scratch!

Also the screw holes into the mirror base look like rusty screws have been used?!!?

Also i'm not 100% sure but iirc M535I used different colour, think it may have been black or blue bonding!?

Not defending anyone but im purely commenting on facts that i have read!?

All i know is i wouldnt buy anything off Haroon ever!

 

Mate, the pic M535I deleted WAS the mirror subadave has now, end of. It must have been scratched when fitting.Why would he have deleted the pic(which i have seen)?
I have no problems with M535I, in fact, we had quite a good past( he bought a pulley from me, we were discussing collecting parts for each other etc), so thats not the issue here.
If the pic had been left up, not deleted, then you would all agree with me, but as you haven't, how can you pass judement?
You're commenting on the facts you've 'read' not seen.
The colour of the sealant used means nothing, as it's easy to remove, if anything, the white sealant's been applied to make it look like a different mirror. God i wish i'd saved the pic!!!!!!

 

I've read the post from the start as i was looking into to getting a set until i saw who was the supplier!

I too saw the the original picture!

You say it must have been scratched when fitting!?!? How he posted pics up of the mirrors on the car and i saw no scratches!
Had it been me i too would have deleted the picture just for the sheer principle of the matter that someone was attacking my credibility and honesty!

You say the colour of the sealant means nothing etc etc, thats a hell of a ball ache and serious foresight to go thru just to ensure he got a undamaged mirror!

TBH noone will ever know the truth except M535I and Haroon!

No matter what you say, i say or anyone else says there is no proof! Its your opinion however valid it maybe against his!

We can all assume anything and may never be proved right or wrong, but if it were me i'd rather trust someone with a proven background on here than a rogue trader!

No matter what Haroon says he's a trader as he's making a profit on selling items that he doesnt have in his possession and aren't his own.
