How far is your drive to work and how long does it take?
50 miles, about 36 miles of that is M6, normally 1hr in the morning(leaving at 6:45), although the two days after boxing day it took me 40 minutes.
Has taken up to 3hrs when the M6 has been closed.
Nearly always 1:30hr going home, leaving at 5pm, although again it's taken me 3hrs on numerous occasions.

3 miles,
and walk it.

journey to work is about 10 miles, takes about 10 mins, depending on traffic. Is part residential, then some dual carridgeway, fast A road (A21) and then fast to medium b road, then slow country lane (v nasty!)
not a bad little journey, and tis close enough, and also far enough away when it needs to be, ie; snowed in mate, can't come to work (but can go have mass snowball fight with mates down the road!

Almost 10 miles - usually takes about 30 - 35 mins in the rush hour, but I have done the trip in 10.5 mins at 02:30ish (in a Lancia Delta HF Martini when I was younger and a bit more reckless)
Sadly, there's now lots of speed cameras round the Nottingham ring road, so I won't be breaking any records in my Scooby - I want to keep it and keep driving it.

3 miles..... 6 mins
to 40 mins
Before catflap gets on my case
I do walk it sometimes in the summer, but to get a bus would mean a 10 min walk then a (god knows how long!!) wait for the bus, then a 20 min+ bus ride (oh yes then a 5 min walk at the other end).......
I get to use a "private" car park, so I use the car......

3 miles each way:
walking: (normal form of transport)
40-50 mins (depends on timing traffic lights)
running:
20(ish) mins (only adopted if very late)
car:
15-20 mins (normal)
8 mins (best, every light was green, traffic very light)
120 mins (worst, other roads closed, so everyone else decided to clog up my journey)

depends which office...
100 miles, across dartmoor to the a38 then north on m5 to bristol. about 90-95 mins on average...leave 6:50 arrive 8:20ish. travel home can be worse depending on wot time i get away from the office.
or
25 miles........same but simply to exeter instead. about 25mins i guess....6:50 arrive 7:15. going home can take a good 40-50 mins if i catch the traffic wrongly.....ie if u leave between 4 and 6 !
looking for a house atm so hopefully will cut down on the above soon !

.6 of a mile but I drive the long way around to a) warm the car up and b) cos Im too lazy to walk. So it takes me about 7 mins. It is great if ur a lazy c*nt like me as if u start work at 8 u can sleep in until 7.35
I work weird hours so traffic aint a problem either. Dont think I could ever go back to working Mon-Fri simply due to driving in traffic.

63 each way
Leave 08.00 & arrive London 09:15 - 09:30 depending on how many sets of roadworks there are currently on the M11. Takes 65-70 mins generally on the return
(Leave 19:00)
I expect to knock 10 mins off when M11 resurfaced & J8 complete. Even better when A13 finished into & out L'house (2004
)
All can get bolloxed if someone has a shunt somewhere - worst return was 4 hours
Go in the TD Vectra, so as to keep mileage down on PTMW! Also cost
(More than twice as much & that is just fuel!)
Have done sub-60 mins

21 miles = 35 minutes (20 minutes to Winchester) then 15 minutes to get into Winchester!
Some nice B roads though so I can't complain
Record was 20 minutes minimum and 2 1/4 hours max - 5 car pile up on black ice
