Its human nature to have a look, I would hope B but doubt I would get mine back, maybe only after I had it blocked by the network.

Also I guess it would depend on what type of mobile it was, if it was a brick from the mid 90's then you would hand it in........ you see where this is going.

Personally I would hand it in, but doubt I would be the lucky one to get my phone back. I had one nicked from my golf bag, while I was in the pro shop.
Even with CCTV, the police did very little to retrieve the phone, even when the ****** came back in the afternoon and was restrained by the golf pro.

I never did get mine back.

A stolen mobile phone is so far down the list of priorities for the police, it is almost impossible to get them to investigate. If they won't investigate burglary, a stolen phone is inconsequential. They always have plenty of manpower to devote to revenue generation though...

I had a company mobile phone stolen from a secure cloakroom, which was covered by CCTV and reported in front of the manage as I was handed my bag back (meaning a member of staff had to have stolen it) and the police were not interested.

I was with friends in a private room of a snooker club once when we spotted one left on a table. One of the lads said, he was having it for his son as it was a decent one and he did.
It was wrong, and when he kept ringing up my mate calling him rude names because he wasnt handing it back it became briefly amusing...
But he was a bad bad man....

I found one of the new Sony Ericssons in the back of a taxi a few months ago. It was locked so I took the sim out, put it in my own phone and contacted one of the few numbers that was saved to the sim. Met up with the guy the next day to hand it back and didn't get so much as a grunt out of him

I found a phone in the toilets of our shared offices.

Phoned a number and spoke to the guys girlfriend, she was working and couldn't contact him.

He must have realised he'd lost the phone and disabled it, so I had no way of using it to ring him. Fortunately it didn't have a keypad lock on so I did eventually make contact and return it.

Makes me wonder whether disabling your lost phone instantly is the best way to go as it does make you difficult to contact.

Simple answer is to ask yourself

What would I want to happen if I lost my phone ?
