From: Going further than the station and back !!! ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz
as above, truly a great time had by all today.
for me personally, was only let down by the relentless tug on the old arms and had to stop every 20 mins or so to get the blood circulation back and have a rest. Was definately the most demanding day so far and similarly, the most enjoyable and rewarding !!!
came away with a welcome addition to the buggying essentials thanks so much to Al's mate !!!
so now there is no reason to stop every 20 mins !!!
cant wait to get out again!!!
cheers everyone,
Dazza

The green white kites that tiny and I were on today are the new Flexifoil Blurrs. The pink one you were flying was a 2.5m Flexifoil Rage.
The 2.5 was great today in daft winds but the 3.5 will be a more used kite.
Id say deffo get a 3.5m Blurr as these are much more suited to buggying and are more stable and provide more power were you need it than that of the Rage.
That said, the Rage is still a very good kite and can be had for good money S/H.
If you can afford it though mate. Get the Blurr

sorry to hear that Frayz.Well done to Spally for running to your help as the rest of us looked on a bit awestruck as to the severity of it all!!!
maybe we should all be a bit more vigilant, and try and keep an eye out when not actually buggying, when the wind is 25mph+ !!!
i'll be attempting stage one of "operation strap-in soon" !!!! eeeeek!!!!

I was out in some really nasty gusty winds yesterday and gusts of near 40mph were not uncommon.
Had my first serious OBE today and got bitten by a 3.5m Blurr fully powered up. I was on 2 wheels and a gust came through and ripped me over. I got my head smashed in the back by the axle and i was then face down with the kite fully powered up spinning in the middle of the powerzone. I had no chance of getting to the QR's as i was being dragged in the buggy upside down across the field, this went on for about 30/40ft. I grabbed the brakes as quick as i could but had been quite winded and am slightly concussed after the bang on the head.
I had some time out and then got back out there but took things a little easier for the rest of the day.
So now i know what its like to be fully powered up and dragged on your face with a buggy attatched and yes i agree is a scarey scarey moment.
Seatbelts are not for the faint hearted when it all goes wrong.

Well my mate Mick with the Fiesta ST got pi55ed up on saturday and bought himself a Libre buggy lol.
Since then ive had my other mate Ryan (He came over on friday) calling me tonight about buggies and we've tracked hime down a mint Flexi. He's waiting for some funds to clear and then he's gonna have that.
So two new boys for us to abuse
Does it get much better than this? :
