Hi..yes you are correct..and they are the same gauges but at that price it also includes the Sandwich plate adaptor not just the gauges..if you deduct the value of the discounted adaptor plate its actually £135 for the 3 gauges

So it should be pointed out that from that £135 for 3 gauges

VAT will claim £ 20.10
EBAY SELLING CHARGE/PERCENTAGE £8.80
PAYPAL FEES PER SALE £6.40

END PRICE RECEIVED ---- 99.70

Or about a bit £20 more than the price you are being charged....now take way the actual cost of paying to freight them in and give an immediate replacement guarantee........theres nothing left..we are not rip off merchants..we charge our customers the best possible price..but,,as I said the gauges are top of the range. But unfortunately we as legal traders with a good reputation , we suffer from traders in the Far East who incur none of the tax charges we do..as i also said..FAIR PLAY TO THE MEMBERS! If it was me id snap it up! just be aware that unfortunately the *******s that are the taxman may get the final say. Either way...its no issue to me..im more than happy to help and advise members where i can..with no predjudice whatsoever..and even if the taxman does send a bill it will still be cheaper!!
But my concern was the back up..and i quote directly from XYBER AUTOS site

Warranty & Returns Policy ( Please read!! ) :

- All our products are brand new and factory sealed, and most if not all products are defect free as they have been factory tested under strict quality control.

- We will only warranty the products we sell against manufacturer defects for a period of 21 days (6 months for the Prosport Stepper series) from the date of purchase.

- Under these conditions, we will honour claims for exchange of products with known factory defects for an exact item, provided the buyer sends back the defective item with all original contents, and agrees to pay to us the actual cost of shipping for the replacement product. Any form of shipping charges is not covered under the warranty, but paid for in whole by the buyer.

- Once the product works, any form of damage resulting from wear and tear or improper installation methods and locations, however short the duration, will not be covered under the limited warranty, and the limited warranty ceases to be in force.

- If the buyer chooses not the send back the item, we will offer a replacement item to our customers at cost price + actual shipping charges.

As I said...If it was me..Id buy loads!! its a fantastic offer...just saying that from experience faults dont happen because of the gauges..but because of errors made from installation. if you break a wire, if there is a faulty sender there is an additional xpense..i will of course happily try my best if that happens to help..but...i think its only fair to point that out.

Either way...chances are, the gauges will be superb...I know the manufacturer so they will be! and far and away worth more than the price paid..but in all electrcal installs there is always the element of a fault...a dodgy sender..a broken wire etc..thats where the problems arise..and nobody wants to wait a few weeks for a replacement..but its the price you pay for a bargain...i support whole heartedly all the members to take advantage of the price offered..i simply need to explain why we charge more for the same product..we NEVER rip off our customers, but we are limited to fluctuation on prices because of our status and customer service back up.

Sorry Phil Please dont get the wrong idea..as always we are happy to support any Scoobynet buy...but because of recent contacts from other customers in other clubs..I felt it only fair to warn of a possible future tax liability...as before..I as a buyer would do the same..but i felt it neccessary to make members realise that as a UK Company we incur charges that unfortunately dont allow us to offer the same prices...there is nothing worse than thinking that buyers assume you must ne ripping them off because they can buy the same gauge for silly money..im simply explaining the logistics..i think that that members should jump all over this offer..its a fantastic deal! but please dont judge us harshly because of our prices..our defense is something you will never get from a foreign trader..Immediate support and immediate delivery..plus if it goes **** up..the money back in your account within 24hrs!
oh and PS ...I HATE THE TAXMAN

Nick sorry but I can’t understand your posts ether you say “I think that that members should jump all over this offer” why post anything at all
We did a deal with you on the fitting kit and pods not the gauges. What would your reaction be if another trader started making these comments about your products and offering a better service etc etc
You say "please don’t judge us harshly because of our prices" nobody mentioned your prices until you tried to make the group buy sound less creditable than it really is. At the end of the day the whole point is the price. I am sure nobody expected you to price match. I got such a good deal because of where they are imported from etc. I had stated that import tax might have to be paid and the returns policy is there for everybody to see as is the feedback from the last group buy from Xyber.
I wouldn't have done this without the feedback I have read from the last Group buy.
Unless they are crap gauges (that you also sell) and a high percentage are faulty we cant loose. Even with the import tax and if there is the odd faulty gauge resulting in some postage costs, personally I think it is still a good buy. I am sure that you will shift a lot of the fitting kits because of it and will pick up some trade in the future from us especially IF Xybers back up is not so good due to there location and you can sell replacement gauges/senders etc.

Looks like my prompt worked. Here is the reply from Chris.

"Looks like the postage would be around $70.00 and we could do 143.95 for each of the pods but the genuine pod we wouldn’t be able to discount due to our discount structure. :-(

If anyone wants the Carbon Fiber I will discount that one as well.

Also, if any one else is interested, let me know and I’ll see if I can further the discount."

Because I'm off on a 3 week holiday on Saturday, 19th. does any one wish to take over the ordering of these with scoobytuner? Alternatley, if you can wait I will organise.
The only way I can think of this working is for those interested to send a cheque to who ever can organise the buy + share of $70 postage. All of the pods can then be sent to one address and then forwarded in the UK to each of the buyers. I don't mind doing this but I think its only fair that the cheques are sent before the order is placed. As stated, I will be away in Asia for 3 weeks so if anyone else is interested in purchasing pls say.
Also guess a small charge for the UK postage would be required.

Let me know your thoughts on this guys....I think there are 4 people intersted at the moment including myself.

My gauges have arrived Look very smart.

I will call Chris at Scoobytuner.com tonight to determine the easiest way for those interested to get the pods they want. Looking at the secure payment system on his site I think it will all need to be done through one account though - there does not appear to be a way that you can pay without getting a shipping charge added. It may be possible that a 'phone call to him may do if you don't mind handing over your credit card details and he can arrange postage to me and I will forward to you all. In that way we can get the postage down to a sensible level.
I'll discuss the optons tonight if he's about.

Have just spoke with Chris at scoobytuner.com.
The only way he can run this buy is for me to phone him the order through and give him my credit card details. He will post the pods to me and I can then distribute.
Therefore, I will need a cheque from those interested to start to process.
It looks like the exchange rates calculate at the following rates;
Custom guage pod $143.95 equals £77
Genuine Subaru Pod $79 equals £42
Postage at $70 divided by 4 interested parties = £9.31 each
Above calculated at $1.88 = £1

I've no idea of the postage cost to forward in the UK but estimate £6.00 ??

h4arry - Subaru gauge pod only - Chris said if you have the sheet metal skills you can make the face plate but its not a flat plate. Perhaps when the custom pods arrive I can photo mine / take some measurements for you to copy?
Molbyman - black face plate
coco08 - black face plate
F1 CJE UK - need to know what face plate you want (brushed Al, black or carbon at extra cost) you want.

How do you guys feel about the above proposal?
Chris has to have the custom pods made to order and these can take a couple of weeks. The original Subaru pod he can get quickly. Just a thought? Isn't it possible to buy the genuine Subaru gauge pod here h4rry? Have you checked?

Good point - will ask Chris to send as gift. Just need reply from coco08 and h4rry.

Once I know everyones interested will PM my address to all. Would be nice to let Chris get moving on manufacture asap.
Unfortunately I wont prob won't be in UK when cheques arrive because of holiday booked.
Will get things moving on return thou. At least can get Chris to have pods ready so can order immediatley on my return :-)
