From: Somewhere in Cyprus hunting down Ferraris, Porsches and that damn Veyron
Chasing with the family in, fine example
I have to admit I'm just taking the **** and know my cars limtations ?? But I know for certain an R1 would leave an impreza never mind a hayabusa unless your post has been misunderstood by myself ???
Maybe you have misunderstood
oh my god this blokes worse than you stevebt!
I know that I cannot beat a sports bike and will most likely lose to the Kawasaki Z1000 in a straight line, unless he stuffs up. As I stated in my post I have been a passenger on a number of bikes and there is really nothing that can keep up with their acceleration. I did not buy one because thay are too quick.
Funnily enough it was my relative who has asked me to run, but only on his terms. I would have never considered lining up against him. The Subaru launches very well, but i think the bike will pull away in third and fourth.
Where I do find I have a chance is in the twisties. Possibly because I have mountain roads two minutes from home, do a bit of hillclimbing and instead of driving up and down the tourist/city area doing wheelies and launching at every chance, I actually drive on these roads on a daily basis, I am quite quick, not the absolute best as some of my hillclimb times show but good enough. Bikers are the ones that are shocked when over a few kilometers they cannot pull away apart from on the longer straights. I respect what they ride and they respect a fast car. Maybe they are all dud riders, maybe a better rider would leave me for dead.
Now where has that Veyron gotten to:
Just watched that video on youtube and I'm not suprised toseland won as tiff was in a normal civic type R pmsfl its hardly a victory

lol. Bike are better. End of! A scooby will beat a bike in the bends, but the bike will have more fun, and that's what it's all about!
Who wants to be sat upright just moving their arms and feet a little bit, when they could be getting blasted by the wind with their shoulders brushing the nettles in the edges of the roads, moving their whole body across, scraping the knee on the floor and being an integral part of the bikes handling, suspension, steering and braking!?!
Anyone who argues this, isn't arguementative, wrong or daft, but they just have never been lucky enough to find bikeing yet!
My $0.02

did you not watch tiff in a super car get beaten by haslem on a bike, or was that only 500bhp, did he need a much faster car?
Thats the reason all bikers think they are invinsable
This thread again
go on then will join in
I have had my knee down on the road but not very often (I once had my **** down, leg back, head when I dropped it
) but unless the road is billiard smooth and your 7ft tall most don’t need to to go quick. How often do you see them get there knees down on the Manx
Just because my bike and most sports bikes will kick your **** Steve
(on a smooth road anyway
) just let it go

Its a good effort from the bike as its the fastest production bike and the baby lambo

We're talking real world conditions here ie not a track. As per my posts above, take a high powered Scoob vs a high powered bike on a normal traffic free road & there's nowt in it
TX.
PS
Car beats bike on a track:

how true, much more impresive than a loud dump valve
Bike will never always win, ultimately it has 2 wheels and has a job to keep the nose down then there's grip.
Throw enough money at a car and it will decimate a bike every time.

True.
But baring in mind toward the end of that vid, another bike comes on the scene and keeps easily in front of the on board video bike, i wouldnt say the onboard bike/rider was the best to test a £480,000 car (or wotever they are worth)
