Was it blue and owned by Andy F
Or he wasn't using all the revs

As somebody said above you get shocked sometimes at how cars stick with you on a bike when you think you would leave them but you really need to rev the nuts off a 600 to get the best from it :norty

My mate was bouncing it off the 12k redline (2/3/4th gear) and the scoob was still there (blue new age i believe) oh and it has a smacs sticker on it.

Tony
12k redline it wasn't a ZXR 600 then or was it a very old one??
My 99 R6 revs to 16k and the newer bikes even higher.

righto bikers and scooby boys, here we go, the myth of the bike and the scoob, road bikes are for straightlines on A roads, scoobys are for B roads and back lanes, (RALLY) no biker has got the bottle to do back roads against a scoob.

I would agree with that
Think I can do my fave back roads quicker in the car than on the bike but on the straighter roads no chance.

That wasn't calling my car fast that was a statement about "why bikers want to chase after performance type cars "

You see I said "Fast cars" thats plural. If I meant just my car I would of worded it totally different

Sorry mate your wrong!

If the rider is a true bike rider and i don't mean Mr 45 back on a bike after 20 years and kids he will beat a Scooby!

End of!

Every few months this same rubbis comes up! It all about the rider, driver.

The better will win!

Bikes are faster in a straight line, cars are quicker on corners but for out and out performance you cant really get much cheaper than a bike (unless it rains, snows, hails or you find a diesel spillage )

Whats the fastest speed these big bikes could achieve in a straight line measured at 1 mile from a standing start?

Guess or fact?

It's a generalisation to say either bikes or cars are faster on roads. As stated by others, it all boils down to how fast each of the vehicles is compared to one another, how talented the driver is and how much guts the driver has.

i.e. a Bugatti Veyron against a 125cc bike wouldn't be a fair race and neither would a Kawasaki ZX14R against a 998cc mini.
Judging by performance figures, most if not all sports bikes will easily beat the majority of cars in a straight line. Cornering speed depends on the talent of the bike rider and car driver. I don't know why this debate keeps on going on and on!

I only asked a question as to why bikers always want to beat you ??? "the rig" answered that one for me The rest of my posts are for fun as the bikers are just so so easy to wind up

I must of explained this about 5 times already

I love bike threads! Here's one of my favourites from exactly two years ago.

https://www.scoobynet.com/bikers-37/...get-stick.html

Post 37 is probably the funniest post I've ever see on here.
