Much as I can see the poetic justice angle, is this easy descent into violence why the country seems to be so dangerous at the moment ?

Good for them, ideally we would not need this, but the country is decending into vigilante rule. I got clamped by a bunch of cowboys last year, swore at me, told me they owned my car and that they'd tow it away if I didnt pay them immediately upon me questioning who they were and asking for their names and company and a receipt with all of these details on. Wish the police would treat criminals with the same contempt as the clampers treat the motorist.

 

I assume you paid up meekly then?

I have never been clamped but I know that the injustice would ferment inside me until I had to take out some form of justice ....... if it was daytime I would buy some boltcutters and do the business - chopping the bollox off the first clamper to attempt to stop me!

 

i've heard of stories of people being boxed in a clamped or deliberately seen getting out of a car and clamped without warning.

now i'm not saying there are not legitimate clampers around (like the ones in london targeting unpaid fines etc...) but for the bullyboys, they deserve all they get!!!

 

You do realise the irony of supporting private clamping firms, for the reason that the country "descending into vigilante rule" don't you.
